Recorded a clap in a quiet winter snow-covered forest in rural ontario. Can be used for an impulse response. Not ideal, but interesting anyway! recorded with a zoom h2n recorder.

Just some recording of a dried, brittle chili pepper with little seeds inside - up way way close to the mic (a zoom h2n). Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). Use as a trigger in vcv rack, allowing it's peaks to fire off samples or synth pulses. Or just use it plain within your next experimental acousmatic piece hit single.

I used the sound of a brush scraping as the source, added the sound you get when you twist a russian doll (already convolved with itself), and this was the result. To me it sounds a little bit like wind.

I tried to create a frequency response by means of eq matching, in the sound of the original tapes, and with the same sound using the optigan going to the sidechain of the eq matching, this was the most faithful i could do.

Ambient foley, recorded myself playing the piano on an old 80s cassette recorder. . . Stretched it and ran it through a convolution reverb. This is the result, almost sounds like the intro to a burial track. Would work great in ambient music.

It’s a mix the 80s gated reverb and the fisher k10 stereo (gated), this is an experiment that i did combining a thicker reverb with low frequency, with an impulse response from a 60s spring reverb unit, which brings a movement nice in the mix.

This is my wind entry for the competition. It's derived from some recorded voice and putting a microphone in various containers while the wind was blowing. I was able to get some interesting sounds from this, then i used some mutation effects, convolution, and phase vocoding to combine the voice and the wind sounds into this short piece.

For those who like a vintage sound, this impulse response tries to be the most faithful in the type of spring reverb used in the 60s, on vocals, on guitars, and mainly as a mixing reverb as an alternative to plate reverb if do you want the sound of a garage rock or dub. Depending on the context, you can leave the reverb in mono which reinforces the vintage character.

I made changes in the impulse response of the fisher k-10, i used a demo of the fisher spacexpander on youtube that had a warmer sound, i did eq match using small sections of the video where the audio is dry or wet, i did this sin several times and the result was fantastically similar. Believe it or not, this is a recording of a hospital reception bathroom. Recorded in mono on a samsung galaxy s10+ so the quality isn't the best, but i did some eq, some processing to make it sound more stereo, and some metallic convolution reverb, but other than that this is basically the sound as i heard it.

Impulse response generated from field recordings of a parking garage. Recorded using an audio technica bp4029 m/s shotgun microphone into a zoom h4n recorder. This sound is a 1-sample long impulse at 48 khz. It covers the whole frequency range with equal power. This is a perfect sample for exciting your guitar amp or reverb unit to capture it's impulse response (ir). You can also play it through a speaker in a reverbant room to capture it's reverb characteristics. Remember that the ir sample will be no flatter than your speaker's performance multiplied by your microphone's performance (frequency response characteristics). The sample has exaclty 1 second of silence, then the impulse, then another second of silence to ensure the impulse will be played clean and untruncated on any sound system or device. My test with ir lv2 convolution plugin have proven, that this sample has absolutely flat frequency response - convolved signal was identical to the source signal. After normalization and sample-alignment of the sound clips i have inverted the polarisatin of one of them and summed them - result was absolute silence, even no hiss was present as a result. Honestly, this is one of the coolest things ever. Just drag this impulse response into your ir reverb plugin and it will make everything sound like it's in a space suit / glass helmet. This was originally a friend's cat meowing but it has been processed heavily. First, it was put through a granulizer and the pitch was dropped -2 octaves. The sample was then panned l-r using automation, and bitcrushed. Lastly, to get a slight detuned feel, i added a chorus effect. This sample sounds even better with some convolution or hall reverb but i left this effect out since it's usually a effect users want total control over. The end result is a strange, alien sounding noise.

The giant 1000 liter wine tank at red maple vineyard in the hudson valley - west park, ny. This sounds amazing for "old vocals"a very springy plate tank reverb. Complex and colorful. This sound was created artificially. In general, it consists of four main layers. 1. The sound of noise overboard (created from white noise). 2. The sound of clanking of the inner skin synchronously with the sound of wheels (created from white noise). 3. Metallic noise. Created from the sound of bolts shaken in a metal can. 4. Actually the sound of wheels (created from ten sounds of various metal and percussion). A rather complicated equalization was applied, and filtering in several stages. Also, the sum of the sounds is processed by the convolutional reverb.

This is an alarm based on what we can hear here in huy, ben-ahin or anywhere near the nuclear power plant of tihange (belgium). Five minutes of rain, artificially created. Using a blue yeti usb condenser mic on the cardioid pattern, i made a 30-minute recording of sounds from my sink (drips, splashes, different faucet pressures) and cut them up into 60 files, later edited down to 20. These were layered together and mixed with white, pink, and brownian noise. Slight noise removal done. Recorded some basic mic noise, and used a subtractive processor (reafir in reaper) to remove that sound from the final mix.
