I recently found this awesome sounding metal cover in my workshop and decided to do some high quality recordings with it. I used akg c414, a neve portic 5012 preamp my rme bayface and some slight postproduction (compression and slight eq). The sound is open source and can be downloaded in 24bit wave here.

2 finger snaps that can be used for anything. I made them for use in some of my music on my youtube/soundcloud, however because i'm so kind i uploaded them here to use in anyway. There isn't a set tempo or key, just 2 finger snaps that you can chop up, reverse, and do whatever you want with them!.

A nice spring soundscape of birds in deep woods. I set my recorder on a sand-bar in the middle of a nice-sized creek, turned on the internal mics on my zoom h4n and just let nature do the talking. Recorded around 11 in the morning on a cloudy 71 degree day.

Series of house door sounds starting with several knocks, followed by door opening and then shutting. Mono close-mic recording done with a stageworks ld1 @ 96k/32bit floating. (this file can be multitracked with the other ortf file in this package. If so, do not edit time wise any of the two files before importing to a multitrack program. ).

A simple arpeggiated chord. Spaghetti-western guitar is a set of distorted, semi-ambient electric guitar. It was made with stereotypical cowboy themes in mind, but could be adapted for other uses. All sounds are public domain and do not require credit, but i'd love to hear about how you use them!.

A real small laugh. During a recording, i started laughing for a stupid reason, and ruined the recording. But one good thing that came out of it, was the laugh. I have the full version of the recording saved somewhere(i know where), but i do not believe it is that great. I decided to cut the beginning of the recording, leaving only the laugh.

Not only do chicken carcasses make a tasty stock they also make great sounds when you mangle them about a bit!. Various squelching and squishing sounds with the occasional bone snap. No processing except small fade in/out. This one has a really annoying breath noise on the mic at the best bit unfortunately.

We were staying at an eco hostel outside of foz do iguaçu in southern brazil, and i had a moment to go over to the edge of the forest and record the sounds of the animals on my phone. You can hear a faint wind overhead. It was a peaceful afternoon.

Dog barking and approaching the microphone. Cachorro latindo e aproximando do microfone. My dog was barking while recording a video for my channel on youtube. I stopped the recording of the video and started capturing only the audio of the dog with the zoom h1 microphone because the barking could be used as sound effect.

I opened a water valve that squeeks a lot. The hose it fed lives inside a large open air garage and i sprayed the concrete with it. I did short bursts and also let it trickle out after i turned the hose off. Curious what you guys do with this sound! please comment :).

Decided to do an exercise from "the book of bad ideas c 2. 0". This is exercise 1. 3 just intonation. Nice. Then i start to turn knobs and get modular mayhem. . .

That couple that lives next door. They are still doing what they do, but it seems like they no longer make the noise loud anymore. I can barely hear them. Either they decided to keep it down or that woman is no longer a screamer in bed. Note that most of the audio was amplified, edited, and cut short.

This recording was made in my backyard. I live in virginia beach. I do a lot of nature filming in high noise areas; areas such as gardens near airports. I will, many times, use the sound from my backyard as opposed to the camera sound.

Thanks to my buddy, randy, this police radio chatter sample is now made possible. I cleaned up all addressed and names, hopefuly, from the 16 minute or thereabouts chatter, tightened it down somee, and made it possile. Privatedareno2 - 3patches - 3min. A challenge kindly started by alienxxx \(^_^)/. Patch 1: the patch that was… a patch i did yesterday. Got that one for free, so to speak. Patch 2: inspired by distant airplanes. Had this in mind. Now i patched up my idea. The wind (or what you decide to call it) is controlled by alm pip slope. New module – for me. Used an external effect, the zoom ms-70cdr. Patch 3: read about feedback. I decided to do a feedback patch. First i made one using oscillators, but i did not manage to do something nice. So i used filters. The first filters feedback is generating triggers. Oh, yes, and i used my sampler (soundmachines ul1uloop). So three patches. I merged/mixed them together in audacity. All sound unedited. Just normalized and i have applied fade in/out – and mixed them together - as written.

About the sample: here is a deep/house kick i made. Using an mpc 60. It has been further processed using uad2 powered plugins/ & waves. About me: i make all my content from the ground up,i sample from analog drum machines, i never use softsynths in my sample material. I just prefer to offer the best samples possible. So that you have a unique collection. Without the unique price tag!i wanted to offer something that outshines the commercial packs standard. & i wanted to also do something that fights audio piracy. So, i came on here, and uploaded some of my own sounds which i myself use. Which has literally been years in the making! & you guys have come through and appreciated what i do, so, thank you! i shall continue to bring you nothing but the best sounds,;-).

An unintended recording of me and a passerby walking through very thick and wet mud on the walthamstow marshes. In tokyo everyone lives on top of each other, so practicing an instrument can be a hassle as you dont want to annoy your neighbors, especially if your a beginner. So budding musicians head out to the park where they can practice. The park near me has two or three different instruments being practiced everyday, ill do my best to record and upload as many as possible.

Here is a gas meter on a restaurant. I managed to get a chunk without much background noise here but i do change the mic position part way through the recording. . You'll notice it gets darker, then change it back. There's enough of each to get a good loop going as i have in the past. Recorded with a zoom h4.

The sound of me banging on a metal folding chair after i reversed it and added reverb to it. I also made another layer of the same sound un-reversed underneath it so it would not be too abrupt. Ah, the things you can do with an ordinairy metal folding chair! made with audacity and an ordinairy metal folding chair.

I have a lot of old hard drives, some of which are still working and others are damaged. My project is collect the sounds produced during start-up. To do this i use a digital recorder zoom h4n using the two incorporated microphones and two 'diy'ed contact microphones additionally. This here is the sound of a western digital caviar 32500 working fine.

Do the harlem shake? why not the paint can shake?. Needed to replicate someone shaking a jerry can to check if there is fuel inside. Because someone didn't think to add water or something in it while they were on set filming the bloody thing. So the closest thing i could find to recreate the sound was an old paint can down stairs.

An long escalator i recorded in atlanta. The escalator was very noisy, and produced a kind of whining electrical sound that sounded almost spiritual. I do not know if the transcendent beauty of the escalator is captured sufficiently here, but i figured someone might be able to use it! there are a few faint voices in the background.

This recording is made not of the falls but of the water right before the falls, so you can hear the roar of the falls in the background, but the recording is dominated by the sound of the river approaching them. I made the recording on the brazilian side of the falls, if that makes any difference to you.

Rain spout drip after heavy rain, recorded with the zoom h2n in spatial mode in a very reverberant space. This is an ambisonic recording - b-format, ambix. Do to a limitation of the h2n, it does not have a height channel. You can decode this file to mono, stereo, or surround with rode's sound field plug-in.
