Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15, 2nd movement – Largo (A-flat major)

Sound of a flat plate kettle coming to the boil after recently being boiled, microphone pointing towards the spout - featuring clear bubbling and fizzing of boiled water. Recorded using a zoom h1 with the built in stereo microphones.

It's a recording of some lawntrimmers and lawnmowers operating on an urban playground's lawns. Recorded from 10th floor of a flat in a block with a hand-held zoom h2's rear mics.

I put water on the frame drum and hit it several times to get a flat, rattly bass sound. Use my sound so you don't have to abuse your own drums. Recorded on an old ev pl-5.

Recorded with homemade contact mic set as a stereo pair. This was attached to the zoom h5. I would describe this as experimental, with a finger nail moving between the two contact mics.

Note: This is only the Prelude in E-flat minor. This recording does not include the corresponding fugue, which is (oddly) in D-sharp minor. The sound of water free falling off the edge of a flat roof. I opened the apartment balcony door and started recording. The fourth floor apartment is on the corner. The water was draining off the flat roof over the edge and falling directly from the roof to the ground. The recording equipment is a studio quality apex 460 multi pattern tube condensor microphone. It was located to avoid getting wet (!) and was about 90 degrees and six feet away from the sound source, just set in a few feet from the open balcony door.

Flat and un-fiddled with mid side recording on a sunday afternoon in a rural english garden. Featuring an angry blackbird, one annoying car and an asthmatic collared dove who makes an appearance at -00:26. Just for fun. :-).

Running down the stairs, opening and slamming the door. Light wooden door with glass gives a flat sound. I replaced it with a heavier door for my own project. Recorded stereo (ortf) with a pair of akg c-460.

A more grim, horror-focused version of spooky snap 1 - pitch automation is applied. The base is the same - a strong, resonating clink of glass by using a flat metallic surface to generate the sound.

Two distinct claps of thunder. The third clap was a once in a lifetime capture as the lightning can be distinctly heard as it splits the nearby air. I recorded this in flat rock north carolina atop pinnacle mountain. I've geotagged the location.

I record this ambient before raining. You can hear crickets, dogs in distance, talking people from block of flat, little of rain and raindrops on window ledge. Recorded on tascam dr-60d with shure vp88 (m/s stereo).

The sound of mexico. A tortilla machine can be heared in every village prior lunchtime. The machine creates flat tortillas out of nixtamalized corn meal which are then baked using gas within the same machine. The metal conveyor causes most of the sound. I was wearing a flat cap so the sheep thought i was the farmer and raced down the hill towards me, expecting to be fed. They were disappointed. It was early may and the air was still and clear. You can make out the echoes from the steep hill behind them.

This is a piece of music i made in fl studio. The hits are really hard so you may want to turn down your volume a bit.
