I took another sample from a malfunctioning arcade cabinet, this time giving off a repetitive droning hum. Listening to it without context, i imagine being in a control center containing heavy industrial computing machines.

I made this sound with my microkorg, making lfo1 and lfo2 hella fast, and made them modulate the pitch and amplitude, respectively, at full strength. The values for the frequencies i don't know, but it is fun to dive in to a synth and try to replicate the sounds that you're hearing.

That was originally a boring industrial water heating system furnace. So i fooled around with audio effects to give that result that sounds like one of those old low budget science fiction movies or even some cartoons. It can be used in many type of stuff, it's up to your imagination.

It is a very strange sound:) made by my reloop rmx-30 dj mixer's and sb live soundcard's bug! there could be a malfunction and when i used the gain potmeter the sound from nowhere (the cable, the mixer, the soundcard, don't know. . ) became mad. It is travelling on freaky frequencies which makes your ear bad. It is worth to listen:) pure hardware sound.

Another very old production, i think this one's from around 2009 even!. Using the reverb of a chord i made on my guitar i created a drone-y, washed out sound. Added some subtle bitcrushed drums, cymbals and a vst synthesizer plays some notes to fill it out a bit, and a dark brooding bass-like instrument pulls up near the end of the track.

This is me playing around with my various string instruments. I decided to try to create a creepy string texture-ish sound, but it came out sounding like a haunted string orchestra. Using strike function on the cš-l wavefolder with tempi sequenced by rené passed through struck optomix erbe-verbe and mimeophon. Morphagene running max. Wave folder strike tempo. The secret´s in the erbe-verb marbling. (ratio between size, speed and pre-delay). Splice is morphagene oven-ready with markers set. Enjoy hot!.

The upload spree continues! this time i've got another sci-fi sound. The title says it all, folks. It can also be used for not only a robot malfunction sound effect, but a machine glitching sound perhaps. I made ti with a corrupt audio file. I got a part of it, and simply pitch shifted it down, and faded it out at the end.

So when i launched audacity within gentoo linux, a strange ground loop occurred. However, adjusting the volume settings within alsamixer caused the ground loop to become different per volume settings. The higher the volume, the less noise is produced; the lower the volume, the more noise is produced. I hereby proclaim this into the public domain, no restrictions! have fun, y'all!.

I accidentally came up with this sound when i was remixing one of my favorite songs on audacity. It sounds like a whole bunch of computer software and techy stuff sparking, beeping and crackling. Would be great for a movie introduction if it was overlayed with soundtrack. This is a bassline of dnb, got 16 bars on 180 bpm or 8 bars on 90 bpm. I did it with a synth using abletondon't forget there is the possibility of you having to amplifier and compress for give more punch. Feel free for use it!. A tip from me to you is cut the bassline in pieces, explore all the locations where you can use for start a song. . . Use short parts of the bassline and use stretch and pitch techniques. Just explore and imagines freaky ways of change small samplers to a big and nice bassline! :d.

Around 2010, i circuit-bent a motorola cellphone and added a control surface to control the bends. Then i added an atari paddlewheel so its big potentiometer could be used to do pitchbends, and the result is an instrument i called the "sonic electronic ball breaker". It's got knives, quarterstaves, thor's lightning, sharp sticks, nuclear machineshotguns, and even some claws that come out to jab 'em. In this sample i'm going through and playing with the controls to see what i get. These sounds are pretty abrasive, but they work well when run through a bunch of effects.

My headphones started to screw themselves over while i was going for a walk with them and it started pouring in the middle of my walk. Which made my headphones pretty much unusable and it seemed to make this strange static noise even when turned off. It was actually kinda creepy but i did realise that this would make for a good sound for a videogame or movie that needs static of some kind. It's just too bad my headphones don't work anymore. This sound was the result of a scary accident. I was looking at the view in the webcam of an open doorway leading into a dark hallway in my house, when suddenly this haunting feedback faded in and looped repeatedly, until i pulled the volume down. It was unexpected, and quite unnerving. I had to laugh about it once i realized what had happened. But that first moment had me expecting some ghostly apparition to come in from the darkness. Anyhow, it's just an accidental feedback loop. I've had it in my archives for about 20 years now. I thought it might be useful to someone else. Enjoy!.

I tried to get a surround recording using mics, but there was a horrible street musician playing off in the distance. I thought it wouldn't be clear in the recording, but one of the mics picked him up quite well. The recording was ruined, so i did a little processing at home and came up with this freaky bit for your listening pleasure. Not sure if it's usable beyond listening, tho. . .
