Blending a smoothie. Blender goes on and off a couple of times to help churn frozen strawberries. During the blending, there is the sound of a spoon tapping on the pitcher. Recorded in mono mp3 mode on a zoom h2. The recorder then created a 2-track file (and i assume both tracks are identical). Compressed and normalized to -3. 1 db in audacity. Exported in flac mode.

I'm making a spooky scary video game and needed a "behind you" whisper to play over the shoulder of the player. Didn't find anything so i made it myself by recording several whispers of "behind you" and then applying effects in audacity. Hope this helps someone. Go ahead and use this for whatever. For a podcast project i needed some coffee related sounds so i recorded our techni-vorm moccamaster, filter coffee machine as it brewed a full pot. Our version has a metallic thermos jug rather than the standard glass jug. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. This is my new rotary-valved cornet with german valves and a 1913 holton bell all plated in gold and white rhodium. The sample was recorded in a large church in north carolina. With the help of bill jones i designed this horn and dr. Jones built it. It starts loud at a forte but then plays some quieter phrases around a mezzo piano.
