A bird was singing close to a chimney early in the morning. I had my recording gear ready to go. It took quit a bit of processing (= noise-removal & filtering) to get rid of rubbish. I added a slight reverb to it. The recording is made in zoetermeer, a city close to the hague.
I made a saw wave and put some flanger and paulstretch effects to it on audacity and made this synth-like saw wave inspired by the saw wave sample from the ps1 startup sound. This sound field recording was made back in 2000 on a very late/early morning. I placed the sony microphone ontop of the car outside to record the crickets and cicadas. There were a lot of mosquitos out that hot night. One of them landed on the mic and actually bit the microphone. You have to listen close but the bug bites at about 14:28 and removes the mosquito blood sucker at about 34:28. A recording made in the shawnee national forest in illinois on the very first day of october, 2022. This recording was made at mid-afternoon and features the peaceful, pleasant wind through the deciduous trees. From time to time though, the soft call of a nuthatch or a chickadee reminds us there is still bird life in the early autumn woods. Birds getting ready, getting stocked up for the upcoming northern assaults of cold air this winter. Some crows really start to put on a show towards the end of this stereo recording. A summer morning field recording at newport lakes reserve, a former bluestone quarry and rubbish tip in the western melbourne suburb of newport. The area is now a vast suburban park with a native nursery and twin human-made lakes, popular with many species of birds and people. This recording was made using a sony pcm-m10 recorder's built-in omnidirectional stereo microphones. It was taken on january 15 2011 at 8. 30am, on unceded boon wurrung land, part of the eastern kulin nations. I acknowledge the sovereignty of the traditional owners and pay my respects to their elders and all first nations people.

Since i have recently found and love this site, i figure it's about time i upload something. I have been making some meditation and relaxing music and made this thing! this was made on ableton with an instrument rack. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. Slapping a wooden desk with palms and made a simple percussion loop. It is already trimmed and looped, so you can immediately use it in your daw. Recorded with xperia phone, and then denoised, normalised. The sample is dry with no effects, so you can process it further to your liking.

Pretty much i recorded this outside of my house in michigan. I recorded 4 seconds and copy and paste, so it is about 8 seconds. The first section is played normally then i copied it and made it play reversed. This sound is loopable and free to use.

This is one of those kitchen trash cans with a lid that pops open when you step on it. One time i stepped on it a little too hard and the lid bonked against the wall and made this great sound that i then had to record. Stereo 24bit w/ a sony pcm-d50.
A massive feedback sound by putting tons of delay, reverb, distortion and more weirdness on some sample. Made in ableton live 7, with freeware vst plug-ins: crazyivan and ambience.

This is a recording i made at the front of my house after a storm. I used a pair of akg c1000's going in to my mixpre6 in ortf configuration about 15 metres from the sound source. Recorded in suburban melbourne australia.

A simple sound of an egg shell cracking. It was actually made by taking an index card and smashing it twice between my palms, putting them together, mixing and editing in audacity. Not very super realistic, but sounds good if it's flying and hits something.
Made up by layering 3 additive synthesized spectrum sounds ran them through several stages of different audio dsp configurations. Fl studio 20. 8 used in the process.

An earthenware (ceramic) vessel submerged under water. The vase has been fitted with a contact microphone and the sound is produced by air escaping its pours as they are filled with water. The item is made from the clay sourced from the spring.
