The sounds from an old elevator. First going up, the door opening, and it returning back down before the door opens again. This elevator is fairly old (from the 1960s) and is fairly dilapidated. Scary to ride, especially after you hear the sounds it makes.

This is a recording of an escalator at the main bus station in helsinki, finland. I heard it making this sound one day. It was quite loud in the space and i heard if from far away. It sounded like a street performer playing an odd instrument. I imagined that a drummer would have had fun jamming along with this. I missed the opportunity to record it that week, but luckily the thing wasn't fixed the next week when i was again at the same place. This was recorded with iphone xr, so it's not super quality (i actually took a video really close to the escalator, hoping the video recording gives the best sound), but maybe somebody finds some use for this (the sound can likely be well isolated). This is as unprocessed as it can be, straight from the original video.

I've made a bassline. A deep one. After that my computer decided to do the opposite. He made it, with bugs. My asio driver has some troubles, but i like the glowing effect, it gives more insane'ness :). Triple osc, echo, phaser.

I've labelled this as a thrush, but i'm no ornithologist. I recorded it outside my house in northumberland, england at 03:30am on 22nd may 2012, using an olympus ws-560m digital recorder. You can hear a stream running faintly in the background and the odd pheasant call from across the valley.

Another sound that has been heavily edited to the point of being unrecognizable. This sound byte is an odd one that i made when i was pretty bored, it might be good for a drone or sound of a phantom or something. It could even be a warning or system message for a game. An odd sound: i set pocket recorder out hoping to capture some birdsong; a raven swooped down and made a couple of passes above it. Perhaps he was attracted by the colorful fuzzy windscreen? at any rate: recorded on an olympus ls-14, some wind in the trees in the background.

As usual. . A triple osc was used. I played with the different possibilities. . . Sine, triangle, saw, square waves were used here. It may cause damage on high volume (maybe?). Effects: phaser, reverb. After recording, the entire soundshape was inverted.

Warning: this sound is just a little loud. A spooky noise i made for a map for garry's mod. You might be able to deduce that i'm making a horror map. If you want more freaky noises like these, (i may question your sanity) but i'll make one for ya. ;).

Birdsong and crows in the fields above my home in the fog and damp - so sounds amplified and 'hollow'. Recorded using a sennheiser 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. Recoding from my sony camcorder while holidaying in italy. The 7am and 7pm bells from the campanile (bell tower) in the medieval hilltop village of sorana, tuscany. Note at beginning the muffled sound of bells from nearby village and the odd ever present birds. I left these sounds in as they give a sense of place to the bells.

This is actually an odd sound my thermos makes when i don't close the lid properly. I guess it could be used for all sorts of abstract things, like ants talking to each other, alien sounds, organic things in general. It's just air going through a thin space. A scary, weird sound effect of me saying "huh?" and that word being dragged out. It has a high pitch, and sounds like a good sound for adding some horror or a creepy feeling to the background of a scene. Have fun with it!. P. S. Audio from the artist paintpots in yellowstone. The hiss in the background is the constant float of steam from the ground along with the regular release of pockets of air from these odd little spitting mud holes. Pretty cool to see and producing a very unique sound. Not sure if it'll be useful for anything, but it was too cool to pass up. Again, sorry for the short duration; there was a lot of traffic and wind there. Recorded on a dslr and edited in audacity. Production-now. Com - shout-outs welcome.

This emulates the ambient noise of a planet sized computer and its associated gargantuan processes. I aimed for a "what if" scenario. What if v'ger could speak to other similar artificial entities of enormous size and complexity. Originally recorded on zoom h2. Recorded with only a small digital video camera at a cafe in pushkar, india. As i sat by the lake one afternoon, two indians sat down on the ground in front of me and began playing this and singing. There is background cafe noises and the odd motorbike going by and beeps, people talking and its not great quality but, someome may like it. . . This is a mix of everything so far; not exactly, but whether there are lots of cartoon sounds on the internet, they kinda look old with the “flashy” quality. Here is a collage of cartoon sounds i mixed up. Some of these sounds are usually hannah barbera, but a few ones from digiffects, i guess.
