A sound made by running my finger nail over a sheet of notebook paper. While no paper was torn, it sounds surprisingly like tearing paper and could be suitable for that.
Sounds of a blade clanging against metal. This sound was made by scraping a kitchen knife against a pan. Small plastic slides being moved around the rough, metallic tops of a speaker. Originally intended to be used as microscope slides, but obviously this can be used for other things as well.
Recording with wooden sword about 60~70cm long and mdf panelsoft drop, move, scrape, hit soundrecorded by neumann u87ai, some compressionsorry for electric noise. .
Sounds like a plate being dragged. This isn't actually a recording of a plate being dragged, it's a whole different sound being edited to the point where it sounds like this.
Sound i made with knives. Used abletons simpler to load in a few knife scrapes then hit the reverse button them and played a note. Mic used - akg c1000.

Just some random skate sounds made with different parts of the blade. Some deep edges, scrapes, scratches, skids, toe picks, stamps etc. . . Solo skating in an empty rink.
Recording of myself drumming and scraping on a suspended metal door using ceramic chopstick holders. Recorded with a piezo contact mic on the door, run through an external reverb effect.
Scraping a worker's boot against some small rocks on dirt. Recording in the city is hard but i found a small canyon made of rocks in a park which helped block out traffic noise. Equipment: rode ntg3, zoom h5, izoptope rx4. Please post a link if you use this file. I'm excited to see what you can do with this!. Text me if you want to have fun and talk audio. I love hearing what people are up to in different sound communities!702-860-9869.

A recording of tadpoles in my pond in manchester uk. You can hear them scraping against the hydrophone hoping to find algae. The tadpoles were very quiet and hence the recording is a bit hissy.
A high-quality mp3 recording of a person sharpening a war dagger. Sound created by rubbing a fork on a butcher knife. Recorded with a black sony digital ic voice recorder.
Recorded with homemade contact mic set as a stereo pair. This was attached to the zoom h5. I would describe this as experimental, with a finger nail moving between the two contact mics.
Hitting radiator with fingers and scrapping over with a metallic object (car-key). Additionally amplified, notch-filter and accented subs. Results in a interesting sound scape. I've started to save my files in pcm format (instead of acm) because there was additionally quality loss. Recorded with a ultra cheap microphone unit of my mp3 player. Reduced noise.
