In short: for a horror game when a monster spots the player. I made it so that it would "turn on" when the monster spots the player in a horror game i was working on, i got bored and deleted the game. I guess you can use it for a similar purpose. It's very trash but it's the first audio i've ever made, plus i had a "crazy weird insanity" audio in mind, so it kinda fits what i wanted.

A large group of atlantic spotted dolphins (stenella frontalis) recorded during a whale-watching boat trip off the harbour of valle gran rey on the island of la gomera, canary islands, spain, 2017-03-11. When the air is dry and hot, insects (that i believe are cicadas) chirp loudly from every direction while being too small for anyone to spot. Their sound, to me, is a sign and reminder of the hot, dry air of australian summer.

One of my favorite spots to hike in illinois has this quite long, and beautiful and rock-lined beautiful creek. Now, even though this creek is in heavy forest, which often leads to very low water levels during the summer, this creek is spring fed so it always has a beautiful ribbon of pure water running 12 months out of the year. I've spent many minutes and countless hours beside this living, breathing water-course pondering the beauty of nature, and reflecting back on my childhood. A childhood filled with much love and many creek adventures. This is a recording of very low frequency hum of a steel mill. The sample has been low pass filtered. The main frequency is about at 25hz. The sound was recorded some distance away of the steel mill area, where it mixed with other sounds as a constant hum, which could be felt in body too at certain spots.

Hitting a half-full insulated klean kanteen water bottle with various objects. First short set with my fingertip, second set with the side of my varnished tin starbucks coffee mug and the third set with the side of a standard 3/8" plastic sharpie marker. According to my synth, this is extremely close to, if not spot-on with a d-natural (294 hz).

I've spotted two skaters on a pavement and i decided to spend my last few free megabytes on the sounds they were making. The skaters were rolling on a hard pavement made of small square panels. An interesting recording of birds, led by blue jays, doing their alarm calls. I was in the middle of the woods when i noticed that the birds seemed to be alarmed like there was a predator nearby and sure enough, i finally spotted a big barred owl sitting high in a tree about 50 yards from my recorder. Pretty amazing how the bird community sounds the alarm.

Helmholtz resonance using a partially-filled (for pitch tuning) glass beer bottle. The resulting tone was sampled, bandpass filtered, pitch bent and laid over a copy of the original sample. Reverb added post-effect to push the sound back and smooth out some nasty quantizing artefacts caused by the pitch bender.
