Recorded with two countryman emw lavaliers in a head-mounted binaural arrangement, into a tascam dr-40 recorder. Processed to remove excessive bass rumble and compensate for eq curve of lavaliers.
Ungdoms synden (translates to: the sin of adolescence) is a traditional swedish melody (style: polska) from boda in dalarna sweden. The melody is compsed by röjås jonas, aledgely played to him in his old age, by a fellow fiddler. "who has made that song?" jonas asked. "you did - many years ago" the player replied "that must have been my sin of adolescense" the composer replied. This is just the first phrase of the melody recorded by me. The boda polska rythm is based in 3/4, but somewhat unevenly spaced. Every village in the neighboorhood have their distinct muiscal dialect, in the way of how to play a polska. The boda musical dialect is reputaded throughout scandinavia. Recorded with zoom h4 in my living room copenhagen.

Does freesound really need another recording of someone washing their dishes? maybe not, but this is a longer take i recorded for a film project - because when you're editing, it's frustrating to find a good recording that's not long enough!. Includes plenty of dish movement, running water, scrubbing, etc. Some limiting was applied to tame the biggest peaks. Recorded on june 29, 2012 near the exit at webster's department store. This features how the checkout area at websters sounded from june 2012 untill its closing on november 3, 2015. This is part of a pack of 4k sounds recorded over 17 years commemorating my friend's department store which she owned. It showcases how the sounds in the store have changed over the years as the technology of teh store changes. Each recording is done within a week after the cash registers are upgraded. As of the date of this posting, webster's is now closed, and will re-open as a walmart in january of 2016.

This is a recording of a lot of morse code conversations on the 40 meter band of amateur radio. Mainly between 7 - 7. 012 mhz using lsb, usb, cw wide, cw narrow, and am filters. I used a yeasu ft-757gx transceiveri mainly recorded this because i thought the am filter on the morse code sounded very unique and space like. Feel free to cut out whatever you like and modify. Also the buzz is from the computer's sound card impurity being amplified through the transceiver, this is not easy to fix. Recorded on 3:50 utc 2013-11-2.

I asked my dental hygienist if i could recorder her cleaning my teeth. I was lying down in the dentist's chair, with a zoom h2 (xy-stereo, 96khz, 24bit) on my belly pointing upwards. I didn't manage to record the scraping tool (that hook), but i did record:1. The cleaning tool (vibrating, high to very high pitches)2. The polishing tool (spinning?, not so loud i think)3. That thing that constantly sucks away saliva.
In-cabin recording of a qatar airways boeing 787 dreamliner taking off, followed by in-flight announcements in arabic and english. The aircraft applies thrust for take-off at 0:28 and leaves the ground at 1:16. At 3:08 the english in-flight announcement is broadcast. This was recorded in-person from my seat with a tascam dr-40. I was located mid-section (just behind the wings) in an aisle seat. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain. Recently we purchased a scale from ikea, when we finally got around to using it we realized that it must be off, as i do not weigh 240 lbs. As we did not have a receipt, or the desire to drive 2 hours to return a $10 scale the only course of action left to me was to take the damn thing apart and record its insides. (what else?). I recorded and edited together around 7 and a half minutes of various configurations and performances of me making some sort of repetitive, engine-like sound. I can foresee myself using these sounds for an old-timey engine or car. Recorded with a rode ntg-3 at 96/24.

Warning: careful when listening, it gets loud!. July 4th. Recorded in the midwest usa, where we adore our explosives. The omnis on my humble dr-05 did a pretty good job capturing the sheer depth of zillions of people blowing stuff up together :-). You’ll hear: people having a party in the distance, a bonfire crackling on the right, a distant train blowing its whistle, and of course a lot of explosions. A couple of the big bangs clipped, but unsurprisingly, it made no audible difference. I reduced to 48khz, 24 bit and normalized to -3. 0 db. It really wakes up when you apply some eq to your liking. But i left it as is for everybody.
Tail end of a paper-airplane competition as part of #azwud (arizona world usability day) in scottsdale, az. About 100 adults and 3 kids made paper airplanes then flew them in an informal indoor competition. Sounds of the crowd reacting to the different flights as planes flew off in all directions, hitting the ceiling, the floor, the audience. Announcer in the bkgd. Children approaching the 'launchpad' then the crowd reacting to their winning throw. After the kids' throw, the sound of another competitor's plane hitting the ceiling/floor (?) and then his comment "too much thrust. " a kid saying to an adult, possibly her mom (?), "please don't succeed" as the woman approached the launchpad to throw her plane.

Third in a series of 3 consecutive recordings of the sound of summer birdsong in a suburban english setting. This one prominently features the sound of water flushing through an outside kitchen drain into an alleyway. Common suburban evening birdsong can be heard clearly throughout with distant traffic noise in the background. Recorded on a summer evening in june 2016 in southern england using a rode nt-4 microphone in a rycote lyre shock mount, marantz pmd661 and edited using adobe audition.
This recording, encoded in vbr format, is one hour and 44 minutes long. Like the other recordings in this sound pack, the mother cat and her kittens are inside a nesting box in the garage. A small stereo microphone (olympus me51s) was placed inside the brooding area. After editing, they were exported to mp3 format. Sounds include mewing, purring, shuffling, and nursing. Some occasional heartbeats may be heard as the mother cat or kittens move inside. Other sounds include a rooster crowing, and people working outside, and some occasional people talking in the background. At this stage, the kittens are in week 3 of their life.

While making an ambient track simulating a fortune teller's caravan, i designed 3 sounds in pro tools by layering and editing presets within ambience and soft pads. They add a bit of magical flare when the tarot card reader turns over a card. This sound can be used for any kind of transition, item acquisition, quest accomplished, or other quick sound effect which needs a light, magical quality. Here's some more of that young couple next door. For this one, they probably went 15+ minutes. Their libido must be really high for this day/night. From my listening, it seems like they were not doing it in bed the entire time. They must have used other furniture and played around in different positions. From 3:30 or even before that is when they start. Passed 5:00 is when the woman starts to moan loud. 14:55 is when they finish. 16:07 guy says i'm tired. Note that the original audio had more bed and furniture creak noises, almost 30 mins long, and some of their chats cut out. Also note that some of the noises left in on the good parts may not be sex noises. This was edit and shorten with audacity.
The eerily quiet soundscape of a small midwestern town during the covid-19 shutdown. . . This was recorded in town, on a friday night (april 3rd, 2020) at a time when there is almost always more traffic, people and families walking and talking on the sidewalks. . This recording started at 11pm at night. . . What a strange, weird eerie feeling of this track. You will hear a lot of steady wind gusts, dry leaves being moved around by the strong southerly flow. . Equipment: sony pcm-m10 recorder sitting on a small tripod about 3 inches from the ground. . . I had to really crank up the gain on this one because everything was so quiet---almost as if the neighborhood was holding its breath. . . . Hope you enjoy this unique ambiance.

Made this piece of music in garageband for something called victors crypt. I think of a spy on a dangerous and evil mission, a mission from lucifer. In-cabin recording of a qatar airways boeing 787 dreamliner landing at doha international airport (qatar), followed by announcements in arabic and english. The aircraft touches down at 0:47, the english in-flight arrival announcement is broadcast at 3:44, and there is a bounty of ambient noise including seatbelts clicking, bags zipping, and chatter from passengers. This was recorded in-person from my seat with a tascam dr-40. I was located mid-section (just behind the wings) in an aisle seat. Watt a sounds and wildgooses. Here i share with you another nature sound collected in may 2014 on the northsea-island of speakers eye (spiekeroog). Sounds of the tidelands 1 and 2 and flying wildgooses were recorded in may 2014 too. The wadden sea is famous for its rich flora and fauna, especially birds. Hundreds of thousands of waders (shorebirds), ducks, and geese use the area as a migration stopover or wintering site, and it is also rich habitat for gulls and terns. [3]you may hear some birds od the tidelands in the background disturbed by the windsounds. Sounds are not so clear because recorded with my iphone.
