Here is my attempt at making a startup sound for a video game system reminiscent of the sounds from playstation or xbox systems. I made it about 4 years prior to uploading, as the idea didn't cross my mind until now.

Recording of pc boot up. Recorder is placed near hdd. For the first portion of sound i recorded electronic cat repelent and glass, and then speed it up. Everything is mixed together and this is the result.

In this field-recording you hear someone (well, me) walking through snow. You hear the typical crunchy sound of snow and the leather boots squeak too. Since i have little knowledge about improving field-recordings i uploaded the files as they were, only cut off the switching on and off of the recorder (zoom h2n).

Snowy path with crunchy crust, you approach the hen house. They approach you eagerly, anticipating some sort of edible gift. There is no gift. The hens slowly realize the reality of their situation and return to their scavenging. You produce a deep clucking bellow -- one last attempt to reach them. But it's too late, the hens pay you no mind. It is time to go.

Unfortunately, the environment isn't as quiet as i'd like; you can discern some traffic noise coming from outside the office building. The picked license is creative commons 0, but it'd be great if you could mention me in your work, if you ever use it for it, i'd like to take a look at what you've done. Recorder: moto g4 play (harpia), laying flat and facing down on the case. Microphone: built-in microphone. Encoding: wave (lossless, 32-bit float pcm). Processing: no dsp applied, removed a full piece of sound at the beginning and a full piece of sound at the end, including environmental noises that weren't related with this recording.

Me walking as intensively as i can on the concrete floor of my garage in big boots. Intermittent sounds of cars and me struggling to breathe do leak through slightly but the sound is pretty clean overall if you're looking for a pronounced, stompy sound.
