A flash thunderstorm in queensland came about randomly in the afternoon and i thought it would be cool to recorded it. I recorded it under an awning since i didn't want to get the recorder wet and the awning was acting a little like a wind tunnel so there's these high pitch wind noises too. Plus thunder in the background. Was recorded on a zoom h5. With the limiter turned on. Forgot to turn it off since it was spur of the moment.

This is a recording made just outside my window. A helicopter flew over just a minute later, twice! i used a cheap large diaphragm condensor mic, with a plastic bendable tube around it, pointing just outside of my window. This created a cool midrangy-resonant-combfilter kind of sound. Gear used: cheap ldc -> m-audio dmp3 -> terratec ewx2496. This is for the earthfirewindwater contest. A bubbling sound which makes an excellent loop for a background sound effect. Like a scientist's lab, or a wizard's cauldron bubbling away. I've also thought it would be a cool sort of futuristic bubble car kind of sound as well as it floats along. Anyway, use your imagination and apply it to whatever you want. I made the sound by flicking my lips with my finger, but it makes a great bubble sound.

Here it is! my first ever submission on freesound! i decided to start this all out with a bang, and post something really cool that i'm proud of making. I'm not sure exactly what this creature was supposed to be. I'll leave that up to your imaginations. How it was made:. Software: fl studio 20. Plugin(s): serum, valhallaroom, ott, fruity parametric eq 2, and fruity delay 2. This was made completely with synthesizers. I used serum for the main synth, made copies of it, and modified each of them to sound unique from the other. I'd try to explain how the synth was made, but there's a lot of stuff. To process it, i used ott to make it sound more powerful and clear, eq to get the frequencies and texture right, delay with a low pass filter to get that outdoors echo feel, and valhalla room for the reverb. My lights are actually connected into the wall with a switch that i can turn on/off with a seperate controller, and this switch makes this very peculiar sound when it switches on and off. 24/48 recording of a section of ranch area in patagonia arizona. There is a light consistent breeze blowing through trees and rustling leaves on the ground. There is a small stream flowing over rocks nearby. There is no animal or human sound.

I needed some incidental character sounds for my cartoon so i broke out my zoomh2n and made some. I then cleaned up the audio and figured i should share it at my favorite internet site for great sound effects. All this time i´ve been doing a ton of drum samples from almost every edm subgenre, so, i took a transient from a house club kick and a sub bass i made by miself, compressed the hell out of them, distorted the sub bass and added the special sauce, the izotope ozone 8 to make a cool jungle terror kick. This is only a recording of me playing a djembe, recorded with a pair of nt1-a mics, but after messing around with some of logic's amp and resonator effects i ended up with this. The 6/8 groove reminded me of the doctor-who theme, and the interval displacement of a minor 6th i thought sounded pretty cool. Sounds of trains passing above an art atelier in brussels, belgium; the room is right below the railway, so you can hear trains making different kinds of rumbles and noises from the other side of the ceiling. It was recorded with a tascam hd-p2 recorder and a sennheiser mkh50 directional microphone. I selected only the train-passing moments, there is a metal door shaking on the background and maybe some traffic, but i think it's cool enough. (:.

This is a recording of me vacuuming my carpet (a short carpet, not sure of the exact name of it), in a small studio apartment in kansas city, ks. It's recorded with the worst mic possible (a generic labtec microphone you can buy at an office supply store for like 10 bucks). I literally have no idea the vacuum brand, as i searched all over it for a whole minute, to no avail. But who cares the brand, because it sounds cool! (it has "120v~60hz 7amps" if that means anything to you) i am mainly vacuuming up kitty litter from the carpet because my cat likes to make sand castles for hours on end and she likes to think "outside the box" as it may. Oh, and there is an obstacle between the mic and the space i'm vacuuming, it's literally a screen room divider. I recorded this just because i thought it would be cool, plus i'm just starting an associates in audio engineering, so i figured i could get experience doing just about anything. Oh, and the end is my favorite part, just because i like listening to the motor click off and wind down. Ummm. . . Yeah, i think that's about it. Enjoy!.

While fooling around with the beat repeat plugin in ableton one day, i noticed it would do this cool rhythmic decrescendo whenever i would hit "repeat". But not when i would export! so i just kept messing around with a simple hi-hat loop with audacity running in the background. I've cut down and sampled this recording many times, think it's time i let it go to see what the internet can do with it ;).

This was a sound effect that i randomly generated. Towards the end of the recording you will hear a very cool doppler-effect as the truck passes from right to left. Recorded about 8:00 at night with my zoom h4-n recorder using it's internal microphones. I had the volume level set fairly high -- 80 -- so you will probably also hear the constant hum of the various central air conditioning units. .

The past two nights were very stressful and restless due to this crazy hurricane which has come to the balkans and has been terrorizing all the nearby cities. Wild parrots started flying in and landing on the trees along mission bay in san diego on a cool, cloudy day. I walk around and catch some individuals and groups. Sometimes they fly overhead. I did my best to minimize footstep sounds and wind noise. Mostly, i did a good job of that. No. 2 at about 2:35 there's a nice group after a long silence, so don't quit beforehand. The stereo mics add to the liveliness of the sounds.

But instead of going straight to the fat bass / big drums-part i made a quiet little intro before it kicks off. I made the drums with both sampled drums and a drum-machine to make it big. I drove my car into a wall; and recorded the proximity alert from it. I then washed it through audacity; slowed it 23%; and trimmed the edges. The result? -chilling. A few indistinct gulps cool the atmosphere a little more. It's not the making of a corpse - but it sounds a bit like it?. Recorded late at night in my car by my home with the engine off in fog - so the sound is 'hollowed' by the atmosphere. Recorded using a sennheiser mke300 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. What a chilling way to go. . . ?.
