Late afternoon recording on a hot indian summer day by a meadow, with crickets and birds. Recorded in 32bit float on a zoom f6, and a ms-stereo setup with one sennheiser mkh 416 shotgun, and a ambient ate 308 "emesser" in a røde blimp.

It is a constant sound that can be perceived as soft and relaxing. It is not active by anyone, it is the natural sound of crickets.

Single cricket camped out by cacti on the ground. Possibly tropical house cricket (gryllodes sigillatus), but i didn't get a visual id on the evening the recording was made.

At a friend’s garden afternoon (18h07). Les ravières (center of france) , 2018/5/26. Recorded with a rode nt4, sound devices 302 and olympus ls 100, flat, countryside mood with a lots of crickets (le « grillon bourbonnais »), wind into the trees and lots of birds.

Frogs and crickets recorded by a ranch pond at 1:00 am using a zoom h4 at 24 bits, 48khz. Aggressively (but effectively) eq'd to remove a nearby gas generator. This is excerpt one of two.

Here's a recording of a small campfire in the forest at night made in saint-urbain (charlevoix) pq, canada in a night of august 2014. You can hear wind in the leaves and crickets in the background. It was made with a sound devices usbpre2 into a tascam dr-680 (spdif) and 2 microphones studio project c1 in ortf stereo pattern. A little correction was made in equalization of the sample and the volume was augmented w limiter. It's in 24 bits 96khz , 40hz low cut.

Recorded at the denver colorado botanic gardens at approximately 8:50pm 2017-08-16, temperature approximately 23'c. I followed the sound of the insects in the gardens to a tree-filled spot and stood stationary to create the binaural recording.
