This is a small group of people talking in the lobby of a 40-story condominium building in downtown honolulu, hi. I had recorded this with my little laptop's built-in microphone.

Rain in brittany on a windy winter day. I built this sound by mixing several field recordings made on the same spot: a small wood in the south of the region. I had the pleasure to work with the kindest, most efficient, passionate, awesome, upbeat folks at campus; a group of 5 members altogether. The game was called "bombers please". At the end of the day, it was dark outside, the whole university-building was empty, dark and had some spooky corridors/halls, and we were still there. Just before we were about to leave the building, we took the audio room and recorded my voice instantly so we could use this sound the next day for the game (the university game jam lasted for 1,5 days). It's a recording of three emtec cd-rs being broken with bare hands. I had 3 audio cd-r that were burned useless. I decided to record their last sounds. You can hear the cds cracking and breaking, me bending them and trying to break them - they were pretty elastic - i had to learn how to crack them. So at first i had some trouble. Around 0:45 you can hear as i'm bending two cds together they squeak and crackle but don't break. The sound is not edited (hence the tag "raw") - no processing was done - i just truncated the beginning and the end leaving you everything you might need. Recorded with a zoom h2 placed on my bed. I was breaking the cds above it. There was a lot of splinters around, you can hear me fiddle with them from around 2:10 on. Originally wav 96khz/24-bit. Truncated and converted to flac with audacity.

Was experimenting with involving an adsr in sequencing when this beat suddenly appeared. Had to record it. Saved it in a low resolution mp3 format just to get that old mp3 sound. Meaningless. . . That's what it all about.

Went in and played with some sound clips i had to make them ready to upload here. Ended up adding a "chorus" filter to some high pitched noises i made for a stop-motion, and the result was this! enjoy :).

I make this sound with the sound of mouth that i accelerated (speed and tempo), inter-cut with a white noise accelerated. I had to clean the sound of the mouth and amplified it. Finally i broke the whole band at the end.
