Zoom h4 held immediately at the opening of a thermos. Hot tea building up air pressure, escaping air evenly producing this squeaky sound. Low cut 1000hz for filtering out street noise.

Weird artifact from processing another sound. Sounds like a scifi computer.

This began as a short sample of brown noise created on audacity. I boosted the bass and stretched it out a little with paul's extreme sound stretcher. All very easy but i quite like the result.

This is a creepy sound i created by loading few megabytes of /dev/urandom to audacity as gsm 6. 10 raw data. I also added some wahwah and slowdown to make it sound even more weird.

Happy little digital noise. Might be a useful background loop.

Coin falls noise turns on metal.

Portion of a recording alongside a passing train in which certain cars screech as they pass a point on the rails, making a metallic sing similar to that of an electric butcher's saw. Background rattle is an idling diesel truck at the intersection.

Manipulated sounds, mainly dogs barking, recorded into a korg kaoss pad3 from a hp computer. The recordings on each pad edited to fit a time frame. Played on four pads on the korg pad and recorded back into the hp computer into cubase. Then manipulated further using standard eq and a tint of reverb. Location: reykjanesbær, iceland.

Glitched congas prt 2. Just a different rate automation & a fuzz distortion being switched on and off. ፐልaስ eነጆy.

Recorded with a zoom h2n in xy mode. The jets are making the metal plates hit each other in a rythmic way. Sounded like a train or something steampunk. Liked it captured it. 2 parts: washing (with clangs) and draining.

Slightly shocking short white noise fade in (2 secs) with a little reverb at end. Generated from scratch using audacity (mac version) 16-bit aif version. A simple, atmospheric sudden ending or transition.

I plugged in a microphone. That is all.

Noise synthesized into some kind of friction/stretching sound.

A digital sounding humming ringing noise, or a ringing humming sound. Not really sure how to describe this what this is, but i liked the way it sounded so i uploaded it. Sound is a paulstretched cello. Used audacity's pitch lower till it made that ringing noise. Was trying to make sound for ambient tracks.

Big reverb and heavy distortion. Very indy/alt rock type of riff. Some extra effects at the end of each chord. Probably good idea to break it up into smaller sections as the end goes a little crazy with some not so over the top playing and noise.

Banging on a geometric metal sculpture with my hand and recording the long reverberations with a vintage sony f-98 cardioid mic plugged into my iphone 6. I used various parts of the hand, the palm, fingernails, fist, and knuckles.

Short clips of static, tones, and blips cropped down from raw binary data read as an audio stream. There's a little sequence marked as 'fanfare' that tends to pop up fairly often.

This is what background noise sounds like when you, first set your recording to automatically reduce noise, except to get this sound, put mic on sensitive, then increase the volume. Voila! computer noise!.

Static with a sort of jackhammer pace at 107. 9 on the fm side of the radio dial. Recorded from a digital tuner, with a quick flip to 87. 5 fm then back to the 107. 9 static. Definitely qualifies as noise.

A big kitchen knife and a metal spatula sliding along various other metal objects in the kitchen. Good for foley use, but could also serve as horror fx with some processing. Recorded with an olympus ls-5.

Piano playing a single chord, edited with audacity to sound like stomping. Bad quality since it was just a test run.

This kind of noise consists of a certain number of random values per second. This number is the density. In this example there are 10 random values per second. The algorithm for this noise was created two years ago by myself in c++, as an imitation of noise generators in supercollider 2.
