Recorded on 20. 05. 2020 on schneealpe in styria, austria. Its funny - and a bit scary - that one can see the exact crevice the recording took place from a satellite. There was a bit of snow left from winter but rapidly melting. Drops fall from 30 cm to the rock below in different rhythms. Recorded with 2 km184 ab ~40cm apart into sounddevices 744. Unfortunately i had no proper windscreen and so there is quite some rumble up to 120hz. The rumble can be filtered out easily, but i left the recording as is (i normalized and converted from 96k to 48k in audacity).

Recorded 29 may 2019, 4:43 pm, just on dark, on a marantz pmd661, using a rode nt4 inside a rode blimp, pointing away from the wind from the back of a station wagon. Near the end, a car pulls up about 50m away.

This field recording was made from my villa and this is both rural and situated between two mountain ranges. So, you've got the thunder, the acoustics, the sound of the rain and the birds in the nearby trees. If you listen closely enough then you might hear the sound of the breeze through the palm trees. Me walking from the trail into the fiesch ski resort in the swiss alps. Starts calm with footsteps on snow and then when i walk into the the ski resort you hear voices in multiple languages, ski and snowboard noises and mechanical noises from the ski lifts.

This sound is of a commercial airliner passing overhead. It was recorded using my zoom h4n stereo field recorder, as i faced east, looking over sun devil stadium in tempe, arizona on top of what they call "a mountain". It was captured around 3:30 in the afternoon, in the spring of 2014, with the airplane due east towards phoenix sky harbor airport, descending on approach.
