A baler machine being used at a recycling centre. The baler goes through a full cycle from start to finish and is generally used to compress cardboard into small cubes which can then be recycled. Struck a glass lid to a metal pot to create a crashing gong-like sound.

This is a stereo recording of an exterior glass and metal door on a university campus in new jersey, usa. There are several articulations of the door here that lend themselves to creature and robot noises. There is a whimper and a sigh and a screech as well as some ticking and clicking. This reminded me very much of baby godzilla type noises. I've put these into iris 2 and had a good time making synth patches with them. Stereo recording at 48khz 24bit on a tascam d-40x using the internal microphones.

Distant metallic explosion.

This is the variable mid/high pitch sound of a metal door not properly closed in my college, making a whistling sound. There are very light sounds of people passing and chatting by the door. I used this sound in a group project as part of a night wind sound in a dark forest. It is looping. Recorded with a tascam dr-40.

This is a sample of a metal kitchen mixing bowl. The first note (c#, not perfect c#) is unpitched and recorded as is. The following notes are the original note pitched up 1 semitone each time to achieve a 13 note scale c# to c#.
