played live - getting some cool trippy sounds out of a little circuit i built. Jammin on the 60hz hum! i think my body was an acting as an antenna for that ubiquitous drone as i laid my hands on the device. Reminds me of certain early progpsy tunes, c. 1999. Really creates some interesting moods with a little echo. Enjoy!.

This is a very old, out of tune accordian (the tuning wavers way off key on the main notes as it plays). It might be useful for messing around with to create undertones for a horror or mystery with a rise-fall pattern. I recorded it on an se x1 large condenser mic. Completely free to use for anything. Three different sounds i have recorded, played together in a software sampelplayer. Sounds recorded with zoom h1.

On many days i take a two mile walk from my house to my job. One gorgeous day i took my zoom h1 and sampled audio at various points during this walk. To avoid footsteps, i recorded each location standing still. In this file i gradually crossfade between the different locations. The walk begins on a suburban street, goes past a park where children are playing baseball, then a busy intersection, then a factory with open windows. A couple planes can be heard overhead. The last thing in the recording is the door of my job opening. ----recorded with internal microphones of a zoom h1.

More metallic version of rev spaceship drone - recording of a saucepan lid span on a ceramic tiled floor, reversed and timestretched then convolved with reverb and a rhythmic fx sample. All four samples designed to be layered/looped/eq'd as needed.

For my 300th sound i wanted to wait a while until one came up that was right. This is what i present to you as my 300th freesound. A dark and creepy wee drone. From jarred gibb - drones. Keep an eye out for my upcoming pack - mcdonalds.

Synthdrone. Synth used: plex. Probably useful for horror or sci-fi movies.

Vintage spaceship - atmo drone thriller orchestral.

A test recording of a top-loading washing machine accelerating to 1000rpm on its final spin cycle. Note that it's not as high-quality as i would've liked, but i'll try again soon. Recorded with an oppo reno 8 lite 5g phone and edited with audacity. You may also hear birds chirping, which i had trouble editing out with this recording. The machine in question is a fisher & paykel quicksmart 5. 5kg (mw513) running on 240v 50hz power. This machine utilises a "direct drive" bldc motor instead of the traditional induction motor and pulley.
