Escalator noise - i was surprised by the sentiment of sound pressure the ensemble was generating.

My lights are actually connected into the wall with a switch that i can turn on/off with a seperate controller, and this switch makes this very peculiar sound when it switches on and off. I felt like it was a cool sound actually and would be great for other people to use as well in their projects!. Feel free to use whenever/however you want. Untreated room (hence dynamic mic) but noise remoived with audacity. I needed this for my own purposes so i thought i'd upload it. I hope someone finds it useful :).

In this clip, i am handling the device, producing diverse clinks and ratcheting sounds.

A passing grocery cart corralling machine used in parking lots to assist with returning buggies to the store. The presumably electric motor and slight jiggle of the metal carts can be heard. Sound is loopable.

A small rusty electric windmill turning rapidly in the breeze with lots of squeaking and rattling.

Ever wandered through a spanish street market? the sound will be familiar to — very possibly all too familiar! this recording was made so close to the offending mechanical toy, that it has even picked up the noises of the mechanism itself. There is a small amount of background noise. Seemingly unnecessary period of silence included is the exact cause before the next outburst of squeaking. Set repeat function on your sound editor recording.
