A chicken yard in the transsylvanian village of țichindeal/romania. Some 300 chickens, along with 2 pigs and some geese are going about their business, a farmhand can be heard filling a water trough at the beginning. Slightly more wide-angle than the two other chicken yard recordings. Recorded with a rode nt-sf1 and matrixed to stereo.

Snowy path with crunchy crust, you approach the hen house. They approach you eagerly, anticipating some sort of edible gift. There is no gift. The hens slowly realize the reality of their situation and return to their scavenging. You produce a deep clucking bellow -- one last attempt to reach them. But it's too late, the hens pay you no mind. It is time to go.

Here is a recording i made of a pig at hackney city farm. It was recorded about 4 years ago on a zoom h2. Unfortunately there are some people in the background but there are also some clean grunts and breathing. Enjoy!.

Argentina, tierra del fuego - in a farm close to ushuaia, during the "patagonian rodeo". Once a year, the farmers go in line through the fields and the forest, screaming and whistling, in order to send the sheep to the corner of the field, and take them to the farm for the sheep's shave. They can't see each other but can recognize themselves with their specific screams and keep in line. A nearby moo. Taken from a field recording (quite literally) i made of the cows mooing in the field next to our house in pembrokeshire, wales. Recorded tuesday 14 april 2020 (while in lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic) on a zoom q2n. Note, incidentally, that "zoom" spelt backwards is "mooz". Spooky, eh?. I hope that someone out there finds these moos to be just the thing they need. I recorded them for my own music project about ufos, but figured someone else might need a moo or two too! if you use these, please let us know in the comments. It's not compulsory, but it would be fun to find out.
