This is a sound recorded with a handcrafted electromagnetic microphone (that is why is in mono format). The machine recorded is used for signal processing tasks at cbc (upf) for their experiments on brain cognition. In my opinion, the welded rail tends to diminish the dramatic effect. . . In fact, i was surprised at how quiet the engine itself was. . .
