I needed the sound of newspapers being tossed by a delivery boy for a performance of "our town" i recorded this using a zoom h2, while tossing newspapers against my house. There are two similar recordings for two different acts. I filtered out background noise using audacity.

I was filling a giant plastic bucket in the kitchen full of water using the hose attachment. I tried let the water hit the bucket in different ways to change the acoustics of the sound over time. If you can use this, go nuts - i'd love to hear anything you can do with it.

For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. Attribution appreciated but not required.

A recording of a pair of hawks that often nest in this small town in southern illinois. It seems that the essence of the wild is captured in the sound of a screeching hawk. Recording made during the late afternoon on a day in late february 2013. Equipment used: zoom h4n recorder using the built-in stereo microphones turned to collect sound from 180 degrees.

Sounds used to get this explosion, in case you want to replicate it;. -kicked rocks (recorded by me)-throwing rocks from a distance (recorded by me)-edited and stretched beer hiss (recorded by me)-edited chambagne pop sound (recorded by me)-rocket hiss (replica by me). Applied effects;. Mastering (in adobe audition 3), increased "exciter" up to 11. 5%. High-pass filter (in adobe audition 3). Stretch (in adobe audition 3), in "high precision" mode. Reverb (in wavepad sound editor pro). The sound sounds very common, because most people use this method. In case you want to use it, please give me credits.
