Jay prusse at nasa happened to have his radio scanner on and captured a strong but short signal that was repeated for one minute. Specialists found that the signal actually formed this word 'mirabut'. No one has a clue what this word means.

A short signal for text message arrival. It's a monophonic, square wave synthesis. Made to sound like old times, when cellphones didn't play mp3 files. Synthesised with zynaddsubfx inside lmms, edited and normalized in audacity.

A very short text notification i created by clipping the laughter and hiccup of my kid. Always makes you jump.

This is just my bit of fun and something i made for my own phone. After recording some supermarket chimes, i made them into a silly message notification. Note: the voice is a standard text to sound (i need this software because i'm blind) with added echo. Enjoy!.

A few more tones and test recordings followed by a long conversation between two women that takes up the majority of the runtime. I took this sample from a phone message. I did use a live feed,(from the headset output on my phone, through a cable into my digital recorder. ) but it is very soft. When i tried recording with out the live feed, i couldn't even find the noise again. It could definitely use to be amped up a bit.

This is found in an old library from the software "olitec", that ran on windows 95. Answering machine software that says "leave a message". I can't make up if the speech is output by a robot or if it is just a human speech with very low framerate.
