We spent the afternoon at the ruins of the abandoned radarstation on the top of teufelsberg in berlin. It had been raining in the morning so inside the whole building there were different kind of drops to record. This is from a different room. Binaural recording with soundman okm`s and a h4n. I had read that some bluegrass musicians tune their guitar strings to dadf#ad because it makes playing that style of music easier. But what does it sound like? this is the sound of each string being plucked and then an "open drop" strum, with no frets held down. It was synthesized using the program 'sox'. Recorded this in my backyard at midnight, my neighbors probably hate me now. Recorded on a tascam dr-70d with a rode ntg-3. File is stereo but contains two of the same mono track for ease of use. Slight compression, eq, cleaning and limitting added for extra cripness. Let me know in the comments if you can use this, i'd love to read it!.

Sound recorded by a small stream while it was raining. The clicks/pops are large drops of water falling from the trees onto the h2 in a plastic bag.
