A grey squirrel at the edge of a wood seemed quite upset and repeated called for about 5 minutes. I recorded the end of its calling. It is also my first attempt at recording sound with my camera (canon eos 550d). There turned out to be a fan noise with a slight clicking. I ran noise reduction in audacity to remove it and to help reduce the sound of traffic.
Our two dogs barking from across the house when the garage door opened. One doesn’t make as much noise so it just sounds like one. He’s a poodle mix so it sounds small.
Dove: the cooing of a dove is achieved through foley. Vibrato is added to an almost owl-like sound created by blowing air into ones crossed-over hands. It is a subtle cooing and varies in tone, tempo and amplitude. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg.
Purring of cat: this sound is extremely distinct. It is an up-close recording of the vibrations emitted by a cat when they are happy. It is an accurate representation because an actual cat was used to record this sound. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. This is a great sound if you are looking for an extreme specific purr unaccompanied by other noises.
This is a variation on a guttural growl i made to depict some giant bears in power armour. I recorded myself with a zoom h1 and then fiddled with pitch shifts etc to get to this big cat noise (well, that was what i was aiming for).
I recorded my small house dog being scared. She's always scared for whatever reason and decides to whine. It is a very interesting sound because it almost like she's growling. I recorded her using my rode ntg3 plugged into my h5. Cleaned a bit of ac noise using rx5. Please post a link if you use this file. I'm excited to see what you can do with this!. Text me if you want to have fun and talk gear. I love hearing what people are up to!702-860-9869.
It was recorded for an indian feature film named "oraalppokkam". You can hear the footsteps and the sound of a flock of sheep passing by and indistinct voice of the shepherd.
A meow performed by my male, 1 year old cat, renly. Recorded in 2011, indoors, using cubase 5(pc), an audiophile 2496 pci soundcard, and an mxl 990 microphone.
