Vintage typewriter, olympia of 1956, inserting paper, adjusting, typing words and senetences with two finger push search system. At the end the sheet is pulled out of the machine. Sound is self created and recorded with "tascam dr-05". Original use in projekt "akte 12" (file 12). Alte schreibmaschine, eine olympia von 1956. Es werden das blatt eingeführt und justiert, ganze worte und sätze im zwei-finger-tast-suchsystem geschrieben. Am ende wird das blatt mit der hand aus der maschine gezogen. Geräusch selbst erzeugt und aufgenommen mit "tascam dr-05". Ursprüngliche verwendung im projekt "akte 12".

American anthem, first 9 bars. Vintage sound setup. Rare korg synth from 70's playing through ring modulation pedal, tube amp and plate reverb. You can't get more authentic on retro sound then that.

I recently erased a cassette tape with my panasonic cassette dictation machine that previously had audio on it, i noticed that it had a white noise after doing so, i figured i would upload it.

It's a sound of a casette when is getting in of a player.

Sound shutter and rapid shooting of old nikon 2020 camera edited with audacity. Recorded on shock-mounted zoom h1 mic, record level 62, autogain off, gain low. Record location, inside a car in a single garage (great sound room).

Dialing the number 3. The dial plate telephone "fetap 611-2" (fernsprechtischapparat) in screaming orange was distributed by the german bundespost from 1972 on. It uses a real bell for ringing and of course it can only do pulse dialing. This was recorded with a single røde nt5 microphone via a behringer ddx3216 digital console into ardour. Normalized over all dial pulse samples of this set. Edit feb 2020: i changed the license to cc0 since i myself use cc0 material from freesound these days a lot.

Manuvers, zooms, circles.

Truck drives in with creaks and engine roar. Sounds as if it is backing up or having a hard time up a hill. Crickets in background.

A group of seagulls, high-pitched varied chattering. Water slosh, creaking audible and general waterfront ambience in background.

Steam engine steady up and down chug. Slows and lowers in pitch, may be effected.

Battering ram hits against wooden door with male voices talking. Increasingly hard hits.

Motorboat running, increasing in speed then steady. Water sloshing and some birds. Eventually slows and heavy wave sound. Engine revving and sputtering at end.

Helicopter winding up. Cold engine starting, accelerating to worm up. Rotors can be slightly heard under engine.

Motorcycle engine revving and driving by. Not very loud, not much bass.

Arrows fly by mic and strike various surfaces. One arrow hit contains a huge whack.

Light rockslide, sounds like a man sliding downhill. Not much bass, sounds like waves or rustling leaves.

Submarine alarm from uss enterprise. Siren type, steadily ascending in tone to a very high-pitched note.

Quiet treble-heavy surf. Waves rolling in ocean, some water sloshing and lapping at shore.

This is a recording of a lovely old british automobile. It includes door opening/closing sounds and some unfortunate handling noise.

Trolley bell, street sounds including car honking. Trolley going down rail. Wheels rumbling.

Birds chirping quickly. With some wing flutter and clicking in background. Could be used for baby chicks.

Dog barking, increasing intensity. Loud "ruffs!" larger dog.

Sheep bleating. One at a time, variety of closeness.

Two horses walk or trot on hard ground, slightly reverberant space. Voices in the very distant background.

Horse galloping in from distance, voices talking. Car sounds in background.

Horse fording a river or other deep water. Could also be a person, no horse sounds.

Single horse trots slowly. Some squeaking and jingling. Increased speed at end as it comes closer to microphone. Reverberant space, hard ground.

A group of women exclaiming, cheering and clapping. Several ups and downs. Phrases like "it's marvelous!". Small sized group.

Climb upon large motorcycle, start, and rev engine.

Catapult launches. The payload whistles as it rotates quickly while flying, then it hits solid wall or ground.

Fencing practice. Man giving instructions, men responding vocally. Not in english.

Car horn beep. Single tone, long steady blast. Could also be door buzzer.

Steady applause from a large crowd. Fades out to one or two claps. Medium distance from microphone.

Kids shouting, playing games, large group, many levels.

Muffled sound of transport with some whistling in background. No distinct voices.
