On the side of that road, we found land with its topsoil removed, stripped also of its plants, but there were lots of rocks and a small cliff where rocks could tumble down. The location where this audio was recorded in arkansas is shown in a video of our family adventure. We found where whittington creek enters a man-made underground tunnel in the city of hot springs. Needed a sound for a clay pot being dug out of sand. I used rice and a small ceramic pot for this.

Ocean waves crashing onto the beach at three distances, close, near, far. There is a little automobile rumble in the background for the "near" and "far" section. In the "close" section you can hear the water being absorbed into the sand.

I made this recording by using a metal shovel and ramming it into the icy snow. The snow has been around for a couple months now and has been rained on and turned to tiny ice crystals. It sounds like it could be sand, grainy dirt or rock dust.
