This is how i imagine hell sounds like. I made this bit in garageband for something called victors crypt. It's an eerie melody on top of wicked down-tuned sounds. It's instruments pitched down with a lot of reverb to create a frightening atmosphere. Feel free to use it as long as you give me the credit for it/write me as composer. This sound is created with two sounds that i recorded at the university. First, the sound of the zip of the pocket and then the falling keys sound. First of all, i cut the two fragment, from two different track, that i wanted for my mix. After, i first worked on the zip sound, which was pretty bad recorded but, after reduced noises, all seemed better ! i made the same thing for the other sound, the falling keys one. Then i ad the last one at the end of the first one, mix a little bit to make the two sounds seemed natural together. After, i normalized the track. At the end, i saved and export my track !.

Field-recording of the creek found in old ellicot city, md. The creek is located in a suburban town, and is surrounded by a man-made rock moat about a story below street level. Recorded using a sony pcm-m10 at 24bit, 96k. The sound has been gently processed!!- hpf (6db slope) to remove rumble- compressor (ni supercharger gtx) with a minimal 1db gain reduction in m/s mode and a bit of warmth added. - ozone 5 for a little m/s eq to alleviate some of the watery pops on the sides and a little stereo widening to compensate for the pcm-m10's built in omni mics.

I needed a rattle-snake sound for a tracklay so recorded myself shaking my salt and pepper grinders. Considering i recorded this on a stereo mic in the bedroom of my two-bed flat, i think it came out pretty well!. This is the processed version, which has been through noise reduction and high-pass filtering (soft cut off begins somewhere around 200hz). I believe that this has drastically improved the raw recording, but if you would like to use the original and process it yourself, feel free to send me a message and i will upload it. Recorded using my zoom h1 at 48k/32-bit (because i didn't realise it wasn't set to 96k. . . Whoops!).

This recording was made alongside a camera trap survey while at loagan bunut national park in sarawak, malaysia. It's a quite nice little bit that we didn't expect to ever find a use for, but came across this website and through i would share it. It lasts a good long time with pretty consistent sounds, so best wishes on it's use. If you do decide to use it, it would be great if you could link also to our nonprofit called the tomistoma fund and it's website at www. Tomistomafund. Org or www. Facebook. Com/tomistomafund alongside the video. It would greatly assist with creating greater awareness for our cause. Take care!.

I needed a very specific brand of lollipop with a chocolatey center for a short film i'm working on. None of my library crunch fx sounded right, so i chomped into one myself. Just call me mr. Owl. Recorded on an iphone, about an inch from my face. Just a single crunch edited to have a little extra tail. The effect came out as a satisfying crunch with decent low-mid range. Could be pitched down a bit to act as bones, or maybe a small to medium sized tree branch. I may record more of these after i visit the dentist next.

Made this recording to share with the community. Please feel free to use it however you wish. No credit needed. Recorded what i was hearing outside my bedroom window. It's a combination of various sounds for about 33 minutes. I did normalize the track a little bit and added a low shelving eq filter. If you want the raw audio file to do your own clean up. . . Message me. There are mic bumps and movements that you'll need to take out or edit out. I hope it's may be useful for your project. The rustling sound coming from palm trees can be used for other types of trees blowing in the wind.

A hot summers day in the deep swedish forest. Recorded with zoom h5 with two dpa 4060 mounted in a ab stereo fashion. Birds chatting and bugs flying by is major elements in this field recording. Decided not to remove to much of the bugs in post because i felt it might suck out the soul of the recording. In post: in pro tools i removed some low rumble, and and trimmed the highs just a little bit. Added a "pro expander" to lower some noise, both generated by the h5 and the location. Hope you like it.

Snippets from recordings of me playing the tanpura. The strings are tuned to b, d, g and e, so would work well in the keys of g or e minor. I noticed that my first pack of tanpura samples has a bit of fuzzy white noise so in this pack i have equalized - i reduced all the very high frequencies which got rid of most of the white noise without affecting the low frequency sounds of the tanpura itself. Please note this is the tanpura part of an instrument called the swar sangam which combines the swarmandal (indian harp) and the tanpura, it is not a traditional tanpura and does sound slightly different.

I'm attempting to create a controllable thunderstorm for a film, and this is my first legitimate attempt. This recording consists of 4 samples of rain, and another 3 samples of rain+thunder that i recorded one afternoon. Equipment used was the inbuilt mics on a roland r-26, and a sennheiser me66 into a sound devices 702. The clips were recorded at 96khz/24-bit, and they were processed at 48khz/24-bit. For processing, i put the samples into kyma, and crossfaded for texture. The howling wind sound is an analog-style low pass filter's frequency, level, and resonance being controlled by a wacom intuos4 pen/tablet. The rain slowly swells, which was done by changing parameters of a granular reverb. The thunder was also controlled by the wacom tablet, with x, y, and z (pressure) dimensions mapped to making the thunder swell in level, density, and texture. This could have been output in surround, but i don't have that many monitors ;). This style of "rain-synthesis" can also go on indefinitely. Please let me know what you think of the quality of this track; eg, if it sounds real, if the wind sounds ridiculous, too much thunder, etc. Use this sound (wherever) if you want to, or let me know if you'd like an mp3 of this, or for it to last longer. I'd like some credit if you do use it, but it's no big deal. A blog is up explaining the method of creation here:http://www. Kylehughesaudio. Com/2/post/2013/02/tempest. Html.

This recording was made in the afternoon during a rainshower under my carport in louisiana. The rain is striking three different surfaces in this track: cement, roofing and plantlife. Now, i'm no pro, nor is my equipment (olympus ws-310m w/ built in mic), so discerning these different sounds is difficult. You can hear the dripping from rain: fast drip in the background of this track. However slight, there is also a noticeable electronic note which is simultaneous with the water striking these surfaces. You can also hear slight rustling sounds that could be wind or my shirt moving near the mic (i was wearing the device on a lanyard). The file is wav, recorded in stereo at 16 bit at 44. 1mhz.

Warning: careful when listening, it gets loud!. July 4th. Recorded in the midwest usa, where we adore our explosives. The omnis on my humble dr-05 did a pretty good job capturing the sheer depth of zillions of people blowing stuff up together :-). You’ll hear: people having a party in the distance, a bonfire crackling on the right, a distant train blowing its whistle, and of course a lot of explosions. A couple of the big bangs clipped, but unsurprisingly, it made no audible difference. I reduced to 48khz, 24 bit and normalized to -3. 0 db. It really wakes up when you apply some eq to your liking. But i left it as is for everybody.

This sound field recording was made back in 2000 on a very late/early morning. I placed the sony microphone ontop of the car outside to record the crickets and cicadas. There were a lot of mosquitos out that hot night. One of them landed on the mic and actually bit the microphone. You have to listen close but the bug bites at about 14:28 and removes the mosquito blood sucker at about 34:28. If you want to hear it clearly i made an episode about the "hungry bug" on my show the "sound effects podcast" http://soundeffectspodcast. A soundscape of several thunderstorms mixed together to create a uniquely immersive, full field recording. This editing process allows for rain and thunder strikes to be recorded at different volumes and creates a more diverse atmosphere with different types of rain, wind, and ambiance melded into one found sound. Although each storm was recorded in a slightly different location, everything is from the greater detroit, mi, usa area. -recorded entirely with a tascam dr-03 set at 48 k / 24 bit. Then each different storm was edited together in magix music maker. -this album version fades out with a simple, repeating synth line.

A recording i made in may of 2013 as i was trying to get a good recording of the wonderful wood thrush recorded. You can still faintly hear the wood thrush in the background, but the nice surprise on this recording is the very clear, bubbling, trilling call of a proud little chipping sparrow. This recording was carefully made using my homemade parabolic reflector microphone. (*using my trusty rode ntg-2), and going into my handy zoom h4n recorder. I wanted to get as accurate a recording as possible so i bumped up the bit rate to 96 kpbs. I know it makes for a larger file, but i think it is worth it.

I tried to get a surround recording using mics, but there was a horrible street musician playing off in the distance. I thought it wouldn't be clear in the recording, but one of the mics picked him up quite well. The recording was ruined, so i did a little processing at home and came up with this freaky bit for your listening pleasure. Not sure if it's usable beyond listening, tho. . .

Fireworks- recording fireworks is really strange. There are two distinct things going on with fireworks- the sound of the explosion, and the powerful physical impact our bodies feel when all that sound energy reaches us. Thing is, the mics don’t have any way of capturing that physical impact; they can only record the pop sound of the initial explosion. So what ends up on tape? honestly, it doesn’t sound much different than popping popcorn in your kitchen. Even with my good mics, i think i had to boost the low end a little bit in this recording to make it actually sound more like fireworks than popcorn. But judge for yourself. I went out to the lake to record some ducks. This day they weren’t squawking as much as i’d hoped, but the wind was calmer than it normally is, and the wind really is your biggest enemy when making outdoor recordings like these. But overall, the recording isn’t bad. The ducks are smallish black ones with white beaks called the american coot. Lots of tweeting birds in there too, especially the first half, and i think those are just the normal small sparrows that you see everywhere. Couple people chatting, but they’re way in the distance. A little bit of a plane or two overhead, but i think i edited most of that out. Nady stereo condenser microphonefocusrite saffire pro24 interfacelogic 8 on a macbook prolake murray in san diego.

A slinky spring toy stretched out and plucked once from the end, recorded with a zeppelin design labs cortado impedance-matched piezo contact microphone. The resulting recording is a classic spring-based sci-fi "laser sound" with a massive, lengthy, rumbling decay tail. This was recorded at 24 bit 96 khz. In addition to its use as a sound effect, this waveform works well inside a convolution reverb as an offbeat spring reverb impulse response, provided one has the processor power and ram to support a 2 minute 13 second convolution. The cortado's bass response is exceptionally large for a contact mic, so high pass filtering may be desired if used as an impulse response.

One of my brothers came by spontaneously to say hello and he slammed the door behind him hahah. It was non-aggressive of course, the door is heavy and has to be slammed in order for it to be properly closed !. Little did my bro know that i was recording and that i managed to catch the door slam !. The house was dark, empty and quiet - he wondered wtf was going on lol. It sounds a bit distant, it's because i was in the bedroom and not in the entrance. This sound is natural too, which is perfect. I have several unused items. As i have benefited several times from this website, it's time to give back. Why not. This was recorded in my home studio, using my condenser microphone, the isk u99 (neumann knock-off, so the seller and a friend said to me; i wouldn't know however. ) powered by apogee duet preamp and simple shock-mount, i hope this recording clean enough for many uses. I uploaded this after i finish my job (for scoring a music and additional foley/sfx) and by the time for cleaning, i found some of them were not used, were not even reviewed. I recorded in close proximity, hence the high frequency a bit harsh. No edit. No effect. Cheers.

A recording of, to me at least, is the symbolic sound of the later summer woods, when the blue jays become more vocal. These beautiful birds stay here in southern illinois all year long, and are a welcome flash of color and blue crest once autumn begins arriving. Now, i have always thought this call of the blue jay is not the prettiest or melodic at all; in fact, hearing the call of a blue jay can be a bit unnerving. . . But, to me, it is symbolic of the " wild " ness of nature. . . One of my most melancholy nature sound. . . Recorded on september 12th 2020 in southern illinois using the sony pcm m10 recorder with built-in microphones. Enjoy this sound!.

I really enjoyed exetone studio's recording of a bell found here - https://freesound. Org/people/exotonestudio/sounds/416992/. I took this sample into melodyne and moved all of its frequencies into "c" range. This gets rid of harmonics and makes the sample well-suited to use as a musical instrument. I prefer the original sample for some purposes. Unprocessed, it has a richer sound. And i also truncated to get rid of a tricky bit i couldn't fix. And i combined stereo tracks into mono, since that works better for an instrument where one wants to control panning inside of a composition. So as a pure sound effect, i recommend the original. This version is just useful as an instrument.

For free use. This is file for creating deep ambiance. Just mix that sound with other ambiance sound (on free sound there is at least a million such sounds. . . Like noice. . Like thunder rain. . . Like station. . . Like people tallk and so far. . . ). It works best with noises or other deep sounds. I think if you add a little bit of that sound to other audio file you can get very spezial sound for ambiante. I will add similar sound as a only vocal too. As always i wish you a good work and if you crated something, so please let me listen! thank you!.

I wanted to record the sound of a keyring - or rather the keys strapped to it - make while in mid-air. There are the keys audible, recorded hitting the stack of hay (soft landing) and air blowign into the mics while the recordied has high velocity. I was throwing my recorer with my left hand, while simultaneously throwing my keyring with my right hand. The throw was vertical and the landing zone was a pile of hay. I thing there are some interesting sound here, i'm uploading it unedited to make it possible to cut out whatever you like. Recorded with a flying zoom h2 at 48khz/24-bit, edited, nomalized and converted to flac using audacity.

Rode nt4 mic with a rycote wind muff on (slight attenuation of the higher frequencies is noticeable to my ears) sitting on a chair under an awning on my porch. I hit record slightly too late to catch the first couple of bell rings, but got most of it. First we hear the church signal 8pm, then we hear the courthouse do the same thing. Also some wind in the trees right above the mic, some rain, a bit of thunder, and some cars in a small town. Also a huge truck with loud engine that sounds almost like thunder towards the end, in fact it was mixed with thunder at one moment. Captured with maudio delta1010lt soundcard.

Sound create use fm synthesis and use 16 bit for high quality. Create sound use c program. Sample have different frequency (power 2) and length. Last several sample have wave frequency above nyquest limit 48000 hz/2 = 24000 hz. Some effect sound like effect in game strider hiryu (ストライダー飛竜) from capcom 1989 (robot gorilla in level siberia) and sonic hedgehog 1 from sega 1990 (sonic jump in large ring at level end if have more than 100 ring). Algorithm:• one carrier and modulate pair• modulate frequency 1. 4 of note (carrier frequency)• modulate amplitude (β) change from 0. 0 to 10. 0 across note• hill envelope with top at 0. 1 of note length.
