This recording was made alongside a camera trap survey while at loagan bunut national park in sarawak, malaysia. It's a quite nice little bit that we didn't expect to ever find a use for, but came across this website and through i would share it. Made this in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. It's a drumbeat with violins on top. After a short while a basspattern comes in. It's actually both a p-bass and a doublebass to make the bass fat. Added some "plingalings" and stuff too. Would suit anything a bit scary. This sound consists on the effect of opening a trash container, it is made of plastic but the pedals that force the mechanism to open are made of steel. The sound is like displacing plastic strongly. The sound was recorded with a zoom h4 recorder, while opening the trash container pulling the pedal. It was recorded on tanger street, behind the upf poblenou campus in barcelona.
