I've spotted two skaters on a pavement and i decided to spend my last few free megabytes on the sounds they were making. The skaters were rolling on a hard pavement made of small square panels. Recorded with rare pair of xy mics of zoom h2 (hand-held) @ 96khz/24-bit. Unprocessed and unedited recording. Converted to flac with audacity.

I was looking for a sound that fitted a dance studio/recording studio reception area so i mixed a few sounds together and came up with this. It has traffic sounds, various bird sounds, indistinct chatter, a thumping bass in the background like in a room on the floor above and a harmony group practising somewhere else in the building. Could be useful for a radio play, movie scene or theatre play.

Recording of myself walking through olvera street over in los angeles, unfortunately arrived when everything was about to close down so it's not as busy, but something to note, i wasn't still, i walked through the street so music and people talking are passing by quicker in the recording and the occasional footstep from myself can be heard. This morning i woke up to the sound of a city crew jackhammering concrete just outside my window. I grabbed my h2 and recorded for a while. This file is an edit of the full recording. It contains two bursts of jackhammering, one fairly short and one longer. The background noise is the sound of the air compressor. Toward the end the compressor is turned off and the last of the pressure is released by the jackhammer as it sort of "putters out". This last bit is a bit unique.
