Every morning the sprinklers turn on at my apartment, so i decided to record them turning on and off. Unfortunately, some outside ambience creeps in, but they're still fairly clean. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

This is taken from (and an answer to) mxsmanic's "trip on métro line 9 in paris, france", at 2:20 exactly: metro on rails through the tunnel, which resonance creates this sound (very familiar to me as i live here). Interesting to notice that the sound's frequency stays around 483hz, which was (in the ancient solfeggio frequency science attributed to pythagoras) the frequency of "opening consciousness".

Busy boulevard with traffic running both ways. One direction is crossed with an air hose designed to count the number of passing vehicles. You hear the tires slapping across it as they speed by.

Recorded on zoom h4n. An outside seating area of a london pub on the river thames. Relaxed chatter, seagulls squawking and occasional boats passing by. There is also an occasional metallic bump from two boats that were moored nearby knocking into each-other.

The microphones are facing across the street to the el tracks which cross diagonally across the block at this point. The curvature of the tracks causes the squeaking of the wheels. Trains heading into the loop (north) tend to travel more slowly than those heading south. Cars accumulate at the intersection of harrison and wabash to the south (left). Time of recording was 5:41pm. The canal next to the hotel continental. Featuring water, people talking, and passing motorboats and gondolas. These are some recordings i did on a trip to venice with my zoom h2, set to 90° dispersion.
