Two-pole circuit breaker recorded held in my hand, also pressed against a wooden board for more resonance. And some rattling mechanical handling noises at the end. Useful as electrical switch click. 96 khz, 32-bit float. Tlm-103 mic straight into pro tools. The only processing is a mild gate. At least it has a good noise floor.

Pull chain light switch on and off - a view variations. Recorded in the basement of an nyc apartment building on may 29, 2021 with the on board x-y mic of a zoom h4n pro. While recording sounds for a film project, i decided to capture this for my archives. Use it in good health.

Inspired by ben croshaw's point 'n' click horror adventure games, i decided i'd try and see if i can make my own creepy whispers using audacity. This is basically some whispered lines and some really low-volume screams superimposed on one another, with some of these lines reversed. I made this on march 2012 and was recorded on my netbook's slightly damaged built-in mic.

Wall clock ticking. The sound is a field recording of a german made fauch wall clock. You hear the tick-tock sound of mechanical movement in a quiet room. I used a zoom h4n digital recorder to record the stereo sound. Enjoy. C gillespie sound library.

Kick sound created in fl studio using a reggae kick sound played both dry and using a denise punisher free distortion vst and then layered with a pure click from fl studio. The resulting kick to me sounds somewhere between techno and dubstep light. Would love to hear about anything you create with it but as always free to use whether you inform me or not. Revolt!.

A sound of a tightening wrench (a bike repair kit) being spun around to produce its distinct ratchet like sounds. Foley fun: put to 25% of its rate and you get convincing metallic gear sounds, apply a tiny bit of reverb, maybe layer it with some screeching sounds from other users (or me, your choice) or a slow gate shutter to get a nice mechanical door opening sample.

Keycap clicks 1 cherry mx clear switchmechanical keyboard clicking. Different keyscherry mx clear mechanical switchesthe cherry mx clear switch is a medium stiff, tactile, non-clicky mechanical keyboard switch in the cherry mx family. The slider is not actually clear but colourless (in effect, translucent white). The word clear is cherry's own designation to distinguish it from the older cherry mx white which is a clicky switch. Older types of the "white" also have translucent white sliders and are therefore visually indistinguishable from clears. The cherry mx tactile grey switch is used for space bars in keyboards with cherry mx clear switches. It has a similarly-shaped stem but a stiffer spring. Mx clear is reported to have first appeared in 1989; however, it was included in a march 1988 numbering system datasheet for mx switches so it is assumed to have been in production in 1988 or earlier. Non-functional tube radio warming up, making a loud 60hz hum with lots of harmonics. As a bonus it clicks off at the end. Zenith consoltone. Only because the faq says so: electro voice n/d 257a through impedance transformer into crappy gigabyte motherboard realtek high definition audio. 16bits, processed at 32bits. Audacity sound editor and/or driver wouldn't record mic level so it was very noisy after amplification. Filtered with a (mathematically equivalent) fft constructed whopping 64k length zero phase filter (blackman window) with 5 wavelength width bandpass at each harmonic from 60hz to 5,520hz. For some reason a fraction of some of the harmonics didn't get through so did another pass on the residual noise and mixed that in. Near the beginning there was a sort of brief duplicate signal that descended in pitch so it didn't make it through the filter. I added that bit in. Attenuated frequencies above 3. 6khz because they are pretty much noise, but removing them didn't sound right. Cleaned up the beginning a bit in various ways, cut it down to 15 sec and carefully appended the unfiltered "click" onto the end, which i denoised 12db with audacity's noise reduction.

This sound is made by my old continuity meter when the contacts are moved around. The clicking sounds similar to that of a more modern geiger counter or dosimeter. It's pretty fun to do this, i will try to garnish more goodies and share them with the world soon!. This is a short, textural loop with a slight click that makes me think of markus popp's music. Recording taken from a train at about 20 feet away. It was very windy, so consequently, the majority of the track was very much ruined. There is a small click near half-way, caused by a brief release of steam. It might prove annoying if you are planning on looping it. There is also not an even right/left balance throughout, due to my movement to avoid the wind.

Recorded inside a closet. Low noise, not much reverb. Sounds almost machine-like with a satisfying thump. Recorded on a phone. I messed around with it to get it to sound nice. In case you do something that mixes the channels: on the opening part i copied a 5khz to 8. 5khz band from the left to the right channel, so that frequency band is mono.

A recording of my bathroom ventilation fan shutters clicking in the breeze. The fan is not on so you can hear birds in the distance, and the wind in the tube-shaped fan chamber. When the wind blows it catches the plastic shutters and they rattle and click. Recorded very close to the fan with two dynamic microphones, there is virtually no bathroom ambience detectable. I'd be intrerested to know what this could be used for!.

(it's specifically supposed to sound like a guy choking on a small rock. ) not the highest quality (it was recorded on a handheld digital recorder like a decade ago), but maybe someone can find a use for it. This is a knife i use often at my workplace cutting different materials. It’s called an ofla knife- they’re pretty small and can retract and come back out again with a drag of a switch. This is me dragging that switch up and down, slowly for each individual tick and then all at once. I know in this recording the background isn’t completely silent, i’ll try to reupload a recording when it is at some point.

I made this using two oscillators in native instrument's fm8 synth. There is nothing too fancy, just two sine waves played out the same output, but one has an offset of 440hz, and the second oscillator has an offset of 330hz. I then just played two notes that didn't sound too dissonant, and then ran it through some low-fi processing.

This sound is 50 ms, 2000 hz pure tone with double linear fadeout through it's whole length. Sampling rate of 8 khz is already an overkill (nyquist frequency is at 4 khz, while all energy of this sound is present in narrow 2 khz frequency range). Created with audacity for use with ardour 3, a free and opensource daw for linux and mac (http://ardour. Org).

Foley recording of a goose-neck reading lamp lamp (you can bend it into any position and it will stay that way) mounted to a bed in a hotel room. Features a lot of groaning, clicking, bending, stretching, etc. Could be used for rope torsion sfx, pitched down for metal stress / strain / fatigue, clicking elements could be used for creature sounds.

I only use a triple osc and i took an advantage of the several asio bugs of my soundcard. I don't mix the sound. I've re-recorded that shape 17 times, after that, i applied massive echo and reverb filters. 3 osc, echo, reverb, compressor. For this record, i've deleted the major part of the notes. Some new settings of the echo filter, are applied.

I have so many sounds, i overlook stuff. Someone may find a use for this. Someone enters my shared apartment and i don't know who it is, or to whom the heavy footsteps belong. Doesn't matter, i'm in the bathroom, all i have is a towel and there wouldn't be time to any more than get to it. I prefer to select who sees me that way. Usually. So, i run to latch the door.

A collection of sounds i recorded and subsequently mixed together in a composition. Here they are in their raw, unprocessed form. They include:. --continuous clicking from turning a removable screwdriver head--whispered breathing and grunting (recorded at a very high volume for intensity and boomy room tone)--a metal trash can clanging--a warbling falsetto climbing in pitch--faint taps--a plastic pill bottle being shook and twisted.

The mechanical noise and signature "chord" associated with the "mac mini (2010 model)" upon startup/boot. Brief mechanical motor and clicking noises followed by the famed sustained f sharp major chord (detuned 30 cents flat) being projected over low quality, built-in speakers. Mechanical noise has defined pitch and is predominantly in the mid-high frequencies. Recorded on zoom h2n, in small, empty room. Audio clip normalized in post-processing.

Artificial beep used for research purposes in the behavioral experiment (link to the paper: http://www. Ncbi. Nlm. Nih. Gov/pmc/articles/pmc3384222/). The sound was generated in matlab using binary click trains at the fundamental frequency of 330 hz and 100 ms duration, which were bandpass filtered with a bandwidth equal to 1/50th of the formant frequency using malcolm slaney's auditory toolbox. Formant center frequency was 6. 912 khz. The formant frequency was chosen to lie within rat and human sensitivity range.

Part of "semiloopdrumsamples" package, please dl the whole package. . With 'semilooped' i mean that only the ride and hihat are longer loops and the kick and snare is separate for better flexibility. I only made basic patterns tho as this package is mostly meant for creating custom playalong/click tracks. No eq's, i'll let the user do that. . Again for flexibility. All samples are stereo(48khz24bitflac), since the sound of the kick naturally leaks in the overheads and the overheads are a big part of the snare sound.

I typed quite slow in the beginning if you need to edit out and synch with your footage, if you just want typing sound in the background i think the best is in the end of the clip. The mouse clicking comes later in the clip. I've mixed it a bit but might need more mixing. I've used freesound for 7 years now and i thought i would pay back for all the good sounds that i've used from freesound. More will come <3.
