There is a vent in my house that sounds fantastic when it rains. The drops hitting the tin cover sound almost like popping popcorn in this recording, but it's a more friendly sound in person. We spent the afternoon at the ruins of the abandoned radarstation on the top of teufelsberg in berlin. Created by shaking my water bottle that was almost empty. Unfortunately i can't seem to export it as high quality as it sounds within garageband, but hopefully its good enough!.
I took a single sample of a needle dropping and multiplied it many times to create the effect of a bucket of pins and needles being dumped out on a concrete floor.
Rain falling softly into a puddle of rainwater by my back basement door. Some peals of thunder can also be heard softly in the background. Recorded fairly close.
