Fireworks new years eve.

Recorded with a hyperdirectional ssh6 capsule - only the shotgun mic open - (via the zoom h6) the fireplace's sound has an impressive presence.

Sound of a bon fire burning with wood crackling and sizzling. You can actually hear cricket singing in the background subtly.

A single firework blast.

This is a combination of plastic crackling, paper ripping and crumbling, sticks cracking and twisting, matches lighting, and a gas stove. All of which are moderately eqed and mixed in protools, but nothing is heavily processed. What is left is the illusion of a building fire.
