A typhoon thunderstorm recorded in a backyard of an apartment complex in xinyi district, taipei city, taiwan, in late august, 2022. Rain can be heard falling on grass, the glass roof over the recording area, and various roof materials in the area such as tin, brick, concrete, and clay tile. Occasionally, there is thunder. Zoom h1n recording from this morning's rainstorm in metro detroit. The original recording was from 5:02am to 7:26am, but due to a lot of secondary rain drops splashes hitting the recorder directly when the wind would shift i edited it down to 52 minutes after taking most of the knocks outs when i edited in movavi. Pretty steady rain for most of the track as you hear the hum from the morning commuters in their cars increase in the distant background. You'll hear some birds too throughout the track, mostly starlings i believe.

My keurig coffee maker has been sounding a little rough so i decided to record it with my zoom h1n this morning as it made me a cup of coffee. It's the entire cycle with the general noise of a kitchen. Mainly you can hear my 20 year old fridge humming in the background during the quit parts of the keurig cycle. Don't plan on using it for anything, so have fun with it. The audio from when the coffee starts to pour into my cup is on the left side, so that was pretty cool to listen too on the headphones when i played it back.

The sound of a construction worker operating a concrete road saw on a rainy day is heard in this recording. The recording begins with the saw already in operation, then is shut off and shortly restarted. He makes a couple of passes on the section of road he is working on and turns the machine off. A nearby siren is also heard at the end, so the shutdown at the head can be used as an alternative. Gear: zoom h6, xyh-6 x/y capsule (120 degree stereo image), rycote windjammer. Plane- it’s difficult to get good recordings of planes taking off these days. There’s always major streets or highways close by which results in a bunch of unwanted traffic noise. It’s difficult to find a good vantage point to set up because there’s hardly any public parking with unobstructed sight lines (or in my case hearing lines) to the planes. Plus, with all the extra security measures in place these days, how suspicious would i look setting up a laptop andsome cables and some other electronic equipment in the general area of the runway?but i managed to get this recording. It’s not spectacular, but it’s ok. There’s some worker truck at the end of it which gets in the way, but doesn’t ruin it. In 's-hertogenbosch in holland we have carnival every year. This is a recording in the centre of the city. A recording of several 'dweilorkesten' that is a band that plays musing in the street. 'literal' translation is 'mop band or mopping band'. The go trough the streets like someone mopping the floor. This recording at the market-place is made with hundreds of people around. The ambience here is totally different from other places in the town and the world. It complete different than the south american carnival. Recorded: march 7th 2011, markt, 's-hertogenbosch, holland. A hot summer afternoon in the swedish forest/mountains. Recorded with zoom h5 (xy) outside the cabin i rented. Recording mostly consists of birds and general life from people moving/talking as they arrive to their cabins with family. Its intended to represent a peaceful vibe with some human presence. I decided to not remove much movement/actions from the people such post because i felt it might suck out the soul of the recording. In post: in pro tools i removed some low rumble, and and trimmed the highs just a little bit. Added a "pro expander" to lower some noise, both generated by the h5 and the location. Ps. We went to strasbourg to follow an invitation by an photographer to his vernissage! to bad that we got stucked into the traffic jam and arrived while the gallery was already closed! that was really a bummer because the drive took us four hours!lucky that i had my zoom h6 because strasbourg is by far an amazing city with so many street life. It is insane how many little streets with these tiny cafes and all the people around! it is like a magnet and you got sucked in. 11/29/2018 - burbank, california. Rain, flooding, and mudslides come to california when a sudden storm hit today. Most people got off the freeways quickly and tried to protect their homes from water damage. This recording was recorded with a zoomh4npro (2018) set at 120 degree field-pattern mode. The zoom was placed on a tripod facing out a 3rd floor window into a dead-end alleyway below. This recording is great atmospheric sound. The water can be heard trickling off spanish tile rooftops and dripping from overflowing terracotta pots. From the passing cars on a distant highway, to the occasional cough of a homeless gentleman walking on the street below, this recording is genuine and clean. Imagine adding that sound of a metal garbage can and a shrieking cat in the night! a sound that's great for sleeping or portraying a dark alley in gotham!. Enjoy!. Christopher c. Courter.

My original dw toms, mixed with themselves 1 octave up [the octave up is lowered -6db and the envelope reshaped to allow loud only the attack]. Then for that resulting mixdow again the same thing [so i used the same method two times]. At all steps i was using the simple compressor[not multiband] for not allowing overlimiting. For the two general mixdowns [because it was a double process] i used hard compressor at -0. 45 dbs. And for the two octavic parallel channels i used hard compressor -3. 60 dbsbecause the octave doesn't sound realistic if not well compressed. For all my dw octavic tomsed i used the same exact method. My original dw toms are here if you want to read data or mics. These toms do not sound realistic as stand alone sounds. These harmonics work better only in a complete mixdown, and have increased audibility than the original recordings [for silent music parts use the original because low velocity of parallel instruments will expose the supportive tom-harmonics].

This was recorded during a harsh storm here i stockholm. Harsh winds blowing thru a small forest. Details such as leaves rustling and hard stormy winds are key components in this recording. It sounds like a storm is approaching what do you think?. I honestly don't remember what i did in post. . . I think i removed alot of bass/rumble, added an expander to remove some unwanted noise to help the winds and leaves to stand out. I probably used rx to clean up some unwanted noises. Equipment:zoom h5 + sony ecm 6080s condenser mic. This was a test to see how the stereo configuration on the ecm 6080s sounded like. I really like it but i would prefer an ab configuration with 2 dpa 2011 or even 2 4060. . . I like the sound it was able to capture even if it may be a little to "centered". I probably will try to use it for my future hiking trips to capture rivers and general ambiances, if i get something special i will upload them here. Hope you like it.

From 1:00-2:00in the sky a long way behind me and to the left, but somewhat far in the air, a group of birds are fighting above a large group of trees that are shaped like a ball of veins. Most of the birds are crows, or just black birds; each noise they make is a series of “caws” no different from each other in pitch, tone, or frequency. There's also the sound of 3 small birds directly to my right around 5 meters away from me, making loud but shrill chirping sounds. The birds are each the same size but and are hopping around the perimeter of a cactus right behind them. The wind blows onto the right side of my body and the front of my body. Recording features lots of paper rustling and sliding across a wooden desk, handling pens and a stapler, stuffing manila folders and plastic binders, and towards the end there are some sounds of small-medium sized personal bag being unzipped and zipped and then being filled with some of the office materials. Should work great for filling in general office noises in a scene or reinforcing actions that involve any of the materials featured in the recording. There should be enough variety to allow you to glean more isolated sounds or just use assortments of layered sounds. Recorded with an akg p170 into a tascam 208i audio interface at 48khz/24-bit. Microphone was positioned roughly 1. 5 - 2 feet away from the source. There is some slight room reverb present, which is intentional, and should match common office workspaces well. An 85hz high-pass filter was applied to remove any unintentional, unnatural low-frequency rumbling that may have been picked up during recording.

China’s first official anthem was used in the last months of the Qing dynasty. The anthem was by Bo Tong, a high-ranking officer of the Imperial Guard and Yan Fu, commander of the Qing Navy. Guo Cengxin, Master of Ceremonies, made some minor adjustments and arranged the music. The primary purpose of the anthem was to advocate the Qing Dynasty and create a sense of well-being among the Chinese. The anthem was officially adopted on October 4, 1911, but was used for centuries beforehand in official Qing dynasty functions, going back to when Emperor Kang Xi was crowned in 1675. It’s official use as China’s royal anthem was short-lived, as the Wuchang Uprising, meant to end China’s imperial era, started six days after the anthem was officially adopted. The Republic of China was created on January 1, 1912 and the emperor abdicated on February 12. As such, the anthem did not gain much notoriety in China. “Gong Jin’ou” was made the anthem again in 1917 for 12 days when a former Qing general started a coup and reinstated the Qing Dynasty.
