I've been creating background sound effects for a haunted house i work at. I've used sounds from this site to create a lot of them but, since this is 100% original i thought i'd give back. . . Created using an sm58 microphone, protools 9, a bathroom sink, and my voice. . .

I was inspired by the horrific ambiance in fatal frame, especially the ghost in the library, at the beginning of the game. So i decided to so some demonic whispering of my own!!. Please give credit if you use this, and please send me a link to your projects! :). ~danke!!!!.

I'm making a spooky scary video game and needed a "behind you" whisper to play over the shoulder of the player. Didn't find anything so i made it myself by recording several whispers of "behind you" and then applying effects in audacity. Hope this helps someone. Go ahead and use this for whatever. Made with audacity. Copy and paste it 4 times. The first track should not been changed. Change the pitch to +3 on the second track. Change the pitch to -3 on the third track. Change the pitch to -7 on the forth track. And change the pitch to -9 on the fifth track.

I made a weird sound with my voice, stretched it out in every direction, and looped it to make a cool noise that could be used as the ambient music for a part of a game where there are either giant robots roaming around, or are scary-as-hell creatures.

The soundscape is created by using behringers pro-1 and crave. I recorded into logic via a yamaha mixer and steinbergs ur22 mk1. In logic i destroyed the sound completely with a bunch of effects. Effects used: space delay, microphaser, a vocoder and of course my beloved bitcrusher. Did some equalizing too.

Old guitar multitrack recording with some effects from the pod x3. Some post-processing, not much. There's some minor clipping issues since i never got around properly mixing this and the original project file is long lost. Maybe someone can find use for this :-).

A one-take recording of someone trying to do a dutch approximation for a suspenseful audio drama, i tried to clean it up as best i could and final form will be cleaned up/lower volume/panned out to sides. The only microphone i had access to was a sansa zipclip mp3 player. Apparently this is german!.

A creepy sounding effect i made by altering my voice and applying a spooky wind effect in the background. Sadly, i don't remember exactly what i did to get this sound. Contains a high-pitched ringing portion that could perhaps be used for headache, memory loss, intense pain, etc. Have fun!.

I created this sound using lmms ( linux multimedia studio ) using various ladspa effects and layered a few zynaddsubfx synths, with some automation to tame the fall off's by automating the volume faders. Enjoy :).

I created this torture sound for a short film i made. I used a verse 504 labtech mic with a sony mini disc recorder in my garage. I smashed a cantaloupe with a hammer adjusting mic placement until i had the desired volume and sound.
