Okay, i actually did make a rather horrorific sound, despite my slight dislike for the horror genre. I know. I contradict myself. Anyhow, this is actually the sound of me going up an escalator while i was at a conference. I came home later and didn't know what to do with the sound, so, out of boredom, i made this. By the way, that weird shriek at 1'46" was actually a young child who was running around somewhere in the building. This sound could be used for *contradiction!!* an atmosphere for a horror game or something like that. But don't try to make me play it, because i won't! okay, well maybe. Mangled with ableton live.

This is the sounds of a door that needs to be oiled at my house, it is a combo of the door opening slowly, clicking, closed and the actual erie tone.

I was playing around with my sampler fx today and decided to rig up my electric guitar. I use a fender american special stratocaster, hooked up to an akai s2000 sampler with on-board fx - distortion and guitar metal applied in real time, the signal then sent through to amplitube fx rack on my computer with vintage crunch setting. This is a strum of the lower e open. I recorded a number of stabs and thought this clip might come in useful.

Rain falling on my apartment. I´m the last floor and have ceiling windows. I move around the apartment getting different versions. Midway you can hear light music in the background. Some raw one-shots from my doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer recorded and edited using ni maschine. In my ears they sound way better with a bit of compression, but i thought the unprocessed files would be more useful. Naming is super vague. Recorded back in may 2014. A nice & sunny recording session at the airport! positioned right at the flight path of departing planes, this served as a test recording for the tascam dr-40x. At some point during the session i decided to point the recorder straight up, instead of towards the planes themselves, creating a nice stereo "pass-by" effect.

For my 100th sound on freesound, a long one: me building my bed with wooden strips. Noises of screws, metal squares, screwdriver, moving the wood and assembling it. And sometimes my breath. Recorded in stereo with h5n, in my room in the attic by a sunny autumn day. Little cut in edit. For the anecdote, it was so hot that i finished in my underwear.

This is a great clear and loud recording of a cat purring for an extended period of time with no obtrusive noises in background. Rip pozzo, whom the purr belongs to. He was a very affectionate cat and purred if you so much as stared at him. Happened to catch this sound one night while alone at home with the cat. He was on my lap and my sound equipment happened to be right next to me.

Recording of me playing video games on my xbox controller. Recorded and processed at 24bit 96khz using the tascam dr-40 linear pcm recorder. Processing: gain-staging and soft high and low frequency filtering. No eq boost or cuts anywhere else. Also de-noised.

Often use wine glasses in musical scores so i created my own recordings. I've used these many times and wanted to share. Kind-of reminds me of soundtrack for the dark knight.
