The last breath of a creature, maybe a dragon, whatever floats your boat. I'm a game developer, but i also like creating sfx, and other cool stuff. So i was feeling like creating a small mmo for fun, but thought to myself;how on earth am i going to make all those sounds?so i searched a bit on the net for possible cool sfx techniques, and later on decided to just experiment with audacity myself. For this sound i recorded my own voice two times (i can make some weird sounds),and edited them in audacity. The result came out as some kind of dragon, and i was pretty pleased with it being my first organic voice. Use for whatever you like, a credit and a rate would be appreciated.

Public domain bird sound of a Raven from NPS. Great audio for halloween or something spooky.

I layered three different snare drum takes to achieve this one. All three of those takes are from a ludwig black beauty. I did a close, stereo overhead, and stereo room mic configuration. Originally recorded/used for an 80s cover song i've been working on. Sounded nice in the mix so i thought i'd throw it on here. -yellowtree.

Retro, death! doesn't necessarily have to be death though!. This gives a retro-feeling, for example when the player character has been swallowed by the depths of the ocean, or has been dragged by a black hole, or fallen somewhere, or spiraled generally! in other words - gone and/or dead!. 22" pacific kick drum. This sample has been reworked a countless number of times until i could get the most balls out of it. Great for many styles of music, maybe some slight eqing to get it in your mix.

Then i used one of the matrixxx-bomb explosion sounds and placed it on top of this one! i mixed these sounds to make it even more epic!. I could've made lots of more changes, and made it even more dramatic, however, i wanted to leave the rest up to the listener's fantasy. It was much about planning, knowing what sounds to use, and how to use the different sounds, timing, and creating anticipation and tension!.
