Recorded with a 2 x micrtech gefell m296 omnis in ab on a dat. This is a 10 jear old recording;-)very gentle waves on the sand of the beach. You ca hear the bubbles of the salty foam bursting.

Recorded on clearwater beach florida usa. While doing a story for broadcast i thought, the sounds around me might be helpful to someone somewhere. This was june 10, 2013, about 10:30am. Recorded with an inexpensive recorder and expensive shotgun microphone, mono, mp3, 128kbs. Enjoy.

Field recording of the ocean surf at the outer banks, nc. Recorded approximately ten yards from the surf line on a zoom hand held recorder mounted under a beach umbrella. Record mode was 4 mic, using front and rear stereo mic pairs summed to stereo mix. Front (90 degree) mics facing ocean, (east). Rear (120 degree) mics facing the dunes, (west). Walking to the beach in los genoveses, schoeps ms mic, sound device.

I recorded this sound on a beach in normandy. It is a close recording of waves crashing on the sand. You can hear the different sounds produced by the water, and the ambiant atmosphere of an oceanside. After recording this sound, i improved it on audacity. I reduced the noice and the wind, then i add a fade in and fade out to make it smoother. This sound is very relaxing and satisfying.

Afternoon ocean waves, recorded atop of some rocks with a tascam dr-40x. Taken around sandy point bird sanctuary in west haven connecticut on may 20, 2022. Unprocessed, straight 45 minutes of audio. Water laps across rocks, tides come and go. Beginning has sounds of me putting the recorder down and moving some stuff around (whoops!).

Recorded on a damp night from a beach house at wrightsville beach, north carolina. Audio has been treated for some wind. The whole recording was like an hour long but i couldn't upload that much. Tip: to extend the sound, you can cross-fade this sample pretty much anywhere with itself and the effect is virtually unnoticeable.
