This sample was created by taping a razor blade to a contact microphone and allowing the blade to scrape against the edge of a record spinning on a turntable. The reverb was added in real time, so there's not a dry signal recording. Very reminiscent of tg's "hamburger lady" in some ways. Sounds like a human voice almost.

Created from ableton's stock instrument "light key". Created a midi, freezed and flattened, added automation effects added some lfo, some eq re arranged the echo effect to fit what i thought, and just saved it as this.

Just some sample hits from my drum kit. I left them totally raw so you can add your own processing, reverbs, delays, whatever. The "just the room mic" could be especially fun to nuke, mangle and/or distort. I performed and recorded all of these samples in my studio. So slice & dice, hack & slash, scoop & loop, smash & bash. Make some noise!.

Kittens: the screeching of 3 week old kittens is very distinct. Real kittens can be heard here. It is high-pitched and a “close-up” of these sounds coming from these tiny creatures. By overlapping some of the screeching it creates the illusion of more kittens. A slight purr can be heard which comes from the mother. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg.

Typing (real words!) on a kinesis advantage keyboard with cherry mx brown mechanical switches. Recorded at my desk with rode procaster, triton fethead, focusrite scarlett 2i2 into audacity. Untreated room (hence dynamic mic) but noise remoived with audacity. I needed this for my own purposes so i thought i'd upload it. I hope someone finds it useful :).

My vcr rewinding a vhs tape. Sounds pretty gnarly at the end. Recorded with a jm27 into my zoom h4n. As a side note, this sound was a real pain to record. Every time i set up the mic, it seemed like the ac would come on, the dog would bark, or some other sound would ruin the recording. Whatever, i got it done.

He always says issarahata yanna (go front) depatthata wenna (side away) and tell newer people go to front by middle way (madden yanna) and he always says there more space on the middle of the bus and go go (madde tava ida tiyanavane yanna yanna).

This sound is a katana sword being swung close to the microphone it was recorded in a gym. It was recorded using a zoom h1 with foam windscreen attached. The clip was cleaned up (removed air condition sound) in adobe audition cs6. You can hear some handling of the sword at some points. Some swings have a higher pitch than others but this is the real thing.

So you decide to make some more "lotta" money modeling, without asking for specifics. Having committed to carrying through, you then find out they intend to tie you up. Well okay. But this guy is serious. He doesn't so much want acting. He wants real stuff. My advice: if you're going to do this, don't bring your sister along.

This is an alert signal from a real fire station. I tried to make a sound how they wanted it, and what i believe what was needed. Few things like 1) start softly to ease it when waking up in the night 2) some pauses for better recognition of speech or other signals heard same time 3) good cut trough background noise or whatever, stressless but good cut trough 3) limited length before announcement.

Got some water coming out of a faucet and down the sink drain. Recorded at a high volume on a tascam dr-07. The hiss is what it is. . . Though if you play it at a low volume (or use a noise remover) it should come out fine. Remember, freesound. Org previews audio at a low quality!.

Sounds like they didn't really enjoy their pleasure in bed. You can hear the woman curse at her guy. The sex parts are from 2:15-12:45. The clip was shortened and edit with audacity.

Also useful to incorporate into a "signal lost" effect, etc. Processed with some limiting so it's tamed and ready to throw in a mix. Recorded with an mxl lsm-3 dynamic mic, no reason to abuse my real lav mics.

This was recorded as part of my coverage of the riots, which i later allowed the bbc to use on their news programme. Disclaimer: i was not involved in the rioting and was only present as a bystander in order to record the events.

Jokes on you! thats not a real bird. It was in fact my mouth that made the noise. 50 claps made in blok modular from scratch. Supposed to sound very unrealistic/dry/drum machine-like as possible so you don't have to sample the real thing. Some of these use asymmetric waveshaping which adds dc offset (0 hz noise) so you may want to highpass the crustier ones. I would've uploaded a zip of the individual hits but because of the way freesound works you'll have to chop it up yourself.

A creation (as always with audiosauna, in particular the emulation of the yamaha dx21 that is their fm synth) similar to a snare, except fm. As you can expect, being a synthesized snare rather than a real one, this does have an approximation of pitches. This is the fourth of the snare drums i elected to export.
