An attempt to make an entire drum kit using only cymbal sounds. Cymbals were pitch-shifted, compressed, equalized, and subjected to other effects in order to make them capable of filling the roles usually occupied by actual drums. Drawing curtains: in the sound you hear curtains being drawn from one side to the other giving a harsh "shhhhhh" sound. There are different variations in the speed in which the curtains are drawn as well. Recorded using the zoomh4n and using the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. A low shelf was added to this sound to cancel some handling issues.

If you want to use these sorts of sounds (good for games or video), remeber adding reverb back is the trick to making the sound big again.

My adult cat was really wanting to be in on the recording, and got a little angry that i wouldn't hold him. You also get a brief jingle of his collar bell and loud exhalations of my breathing - i was trying not to laugh at his antics. I was holding my breath very close to the mic.

This is a new sprayer we bought and it's nice to be able to relieve the pressure by turning a small, built-in valve. Similar to a compression relief valve on engines, i suppose. I recorded it with my yamaha 'pocketrak' recorder and edited on sony vegas. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).
