Walking through the streets of central gothenburg to record urban sounds, i happen across a construction site. I walk past it and onwards to record footsteps on the pavement and eventually some light traffic and trams. Recorded with iaudio x5 internal mic.

Fireworks recorded with mkh50+mkh30 ms stereo couple in sound devices 664 during shooting in birobidjan, russian federation. Recorded on the 4th floor of a building facing other buildings 50 meters in front and on the left in a residential area. Nice acoustics from that specific tall housing configuration.

Short recording of me walking to the roof of a warehouse near the los angeles area. You can hear the wind and my foot steps on the the steel roof access staircase. Once on the roof we hear a turbine vent squeaking and an aircraft flying overhead, as police sirens pass by. This sound effect was created for a virtual theatrical production of anon(ymous), by naomi iizuka. It is an ambient soundscape of a city at night. A helicopter circles overhead, a tv is heard faintly in the background, someone moves a dumpster in an alleyway, a truck backs up. Gentle traffic and background voices can be heard throughout.

This is a recording made on an iphone se using the now discontinued sennheiser ambeo vr headset for binaural "3d" recording. This recording has not been processed in any way except for the levels which were normalized. Since it was a cold windy day, i believe i had the mics under a thin hat, which acted as a wind shield. This may have slightly muted the higher frequencies but it shielded the mics from wind noise. I will make some more recordings and share them.

The monsoon rain has set in for now. It is constant. Last night it became heavy around midnight and was relentless all night until around dawn. In the early hours of the morning the only sound is the rain.
