This recording is made not of the falls but of the water right before the falls, so you can hear the roar of the falls in the background, but the recording is dominated by the sound of the river approaching them. I made the recording on the brazilian side of the falls, if that makes any difference to you.

We filled a glass bottle with water from the kitchen sink, then quickly turned the bottle upside-down. The water made a popping sound as it chugged out, making splashing sounds.
