I got hold of an old sony dat machine (tcd-d10 pro) and noticed a very interesting sound when i opened the door to the cassette compartment. The sound was recorded with an olympus ls-14 and was slightly edited in wavosaur.

I was trying to make some floaty meditation type music like people use for hypnotherapy and yoga and stuff but accidentally made something fractionally too menacing. To me it sounds like something you might have in the background of a scene where viewer is contemplating an unexpected cosmic vastness or an ancient alien artefact or something otherwise mindblowing but also potentially existentially threatening.

Spaceship door closing i created combining a deotorant can and canola oil can spraying with a pitch shift.

This is a tone that i generated using my electric fender strat through one of my vintage amplifiers in my studio. A space-ship laser firing sound with a retro-y 8-bit effect. My work, feel free to use in any way however you'd like. To make this, i used a synth in cubase to get the basic laser sound, then exported to garageband where i applied and tweaked the bitcrusher effect to give it the 8-bit effect.
