This is my cat, trying to get my attention. Eventually, he lost interest and started to scratch his scratching post. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

Whenever i use my usb stick, my computer always makes an awful noise. I decided to record it and see if any of you guys can make anything out of it. To me it sounds like some sort of aliens or robots talking to each other. The only editing done was noise removal to get rid of the fuzziness and amplification to make it a little bit louder. Let me know in the comments if you use it.

I needed a sound fx of a dog scratching itself for a 3d animation, so i did this foley recording. First i tapped a bunch of keys to simulate the tags jingling. It's the 80s and i'm about half-way through making a punk/new wave party mix tape when my turntable starts repeating itself. Unwilling to to back and re-record the mix, i batted the needle around on the record for half a second and stopped the tape. This is the part that isn't recognizable as "hey, st. Peter!".

A pencil writing on some cardboard. Makes a good scratching sound for something like note taking or plain writing. It's semi-erratic with a couple pauses in between and i took different distances from the mic and angles with the pencil to try and get different sounds.

My syrian hamster, piggie, makes a nest with fluffy paper bedding. Recorded with iphone 8.

This sound is a collection of noises intended to respresent: a blind person's cane, someone trying to crack a safe and a person searching for something - such as in a store room. It was recorded using a shure sm58 and a marantz digital hard drive recorder.

A needle scratching a tin can. This was my first try to produce a painfull noise, or goose pimples. Recorded with a zoom h2n. Slightly noise reduced with audacity. .

Rubbing a nail directly on a contact mic. This could be suitable layered as a foley sound to serve in place for writing with a pencil, pen, or chalk. If necessary, eq out some top end if it's too metallic sounding or adjust for speed and pitch.
