Part of a pack of source recordings i created to use as part of the sound design for the ios/android game 'hipster zombies'. This is the sound of a toy skull type thing my girlfriend found, which has a lid you can open and then there's a gooey brain inside which makes awesome squelchy sounds.

This sound was recorded in an asian fast food restaurant in germany. You can hear the sound of cooking and people chatting in the background.

Flicking the lighter, sparking the lighter, inhaling the bong, bubbling, exhaling, clearing chamber, placing bowl back into the glass, exhaling the smoke.

The sound started as a drop of water in a pot filled with water. I then slowed it down significantly. It startet to sound quite melodic like a chime. I added some reverb and echo and thats what came out.

This is popcorn popping and i recorded it with my yamaha pocketrak and slowed it down in sony sound forge. It sounds like an alien language. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

Sound i recorded on my gas stove top of a small pot with boiling water. Recorded with rode ntg-3 shotgun on zoom6 recorder. Tried removing as much of the gas hiss in post as i could.

Assorted ceramic bottles, jugs and bowls clanking against each other, sliding over a wooden surface, being touched or put down, scraping the ceramic bowl with a metal spoon and placing the bottle ready to pour into another ceramic glass.

The sound of a teabag squeezer hitting the lid of an ornamental brass pot. It creates a generic "ding" sound. There is a small amount of static noise in the background. Sounds slightly like a triangle i guess. Recorded with a cheap pc microphone.

Open the can of coffee, scoop four times and dump in the basket of an instant coffee maker. Start. Coffee brews over 5 to 6 minutes, then the maker returns and pours a cup.

A wonderful recording symbolic of something many of us do every day -- making coffee. Recorded using my trusty zoom h-4n recorder using its built-in stereo microphones. Recorded at 4:45 in the morning so other usual daytime house/city noises are not here.

Coffee is served from a coffee pot into a cup, then the cup is placed on a saucer. Recorded with a zoom h4n portable recorder. Edited a bit in audacity to raise the level of the coffee pouring sound and lower the level of the saucer impact sound.

I play a little sequence made with cvlfo , clock divider, attenuverter, quantiziser. The way i usually do…. But the interesting thing is the cvad (?) voltage controllable envelope generator. But in the case of alm pip slope you just control attack and decay. Seems to be enough. As in the other versions of this sound i connect one lfo to attack and a second lfo to decay. But this time i connect the vcad to control the frequency of a filter. Interesting. I wish i had two more cvlfos… should open up for rhythmical usage. I use no vca or adsr. I have connected the vco straight to the vcf and the vcf to mixer. In the beginning i have the frequency pot at 2 a clock then i gradually move it clock wise and let the vcad take control. 1 minute in the pot is fully clock wise. The vco is playing a sawtooth wave. If you dl and inspect the wave you can see that in the beginning and the end it is a sawtooth wave, but in the middle part the filter affects the wave form.

For a podcast project i needed some coffee related sounds so i recorded our techni-vorm moccamaster, filter coffee machine as it brewed a full pot. Our version has a metallic thermos jug rather than the standard glass jug. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. The sloth has two outputs x and y. I connected x to control frequency on one oscillator and y to control amplitude on another oscillator. Frequency experiment on left channel. Amplitude experiment on the right. The file starts as the amplitude is 0. Next time the amplitude is 0 (almost) is at about 48 sec. Then 48 sec later, at 1:37 the amplitude is 0 again. The two cycles are not identical. The tones are harder to analyze. . . X and y outputs. I guess those corresponds to x and y in a coordinate system.
