Hello all!i recorded this sample today, 10-11-2012 in la, ca, usa. I needed a radio tuning sample and i wasn't pleased with the ones i found, so i recorded one with my zoom h2!. I realized i actually didn't have a radio, so i went to a thrift store and bought one for $4. 34. It sounds perfect for what i need. This sample is in 44. 1khz, 24bit. Static with a sort of jackhammer pace at 107. 9 on the fm side of the radio dial. Recorded from a digital tuner, with a quick flip to 87. 5 fm then back to the 107. 9 static. Definitely qualifies as noise.

Alien communication radio sing loop masteredi transformed the sound of my voice and added effects, then mastered it. Recorded tascam dr-05xedited: adobe + fxs + mastered.

This is a sample of a ship talking to port control. It was created using text-to-speech software like acapela and editing the voices in audicity to sound like radio transmissions. Squelch and bleep sounds from the ptt buttons were added to the mixed clip.

I foudd this frequency, between 4450 and 4475 khz whilst going through channels on radiosdr. Org. It sounds a bit like a printer and then lower down sounds like a laser. Sorry for the sound of me pressing the keyboard, my laptop has an internal microphone so this was picked up.

A new and complex signal from same spot in orion. Type of signal is unknown to our technicians at the radio telescope stations. Great mystery.

I bought a portable sw radio for about £2 from a local flea-market, hoping to pick up some interesting radio stations from around the world and maybe some "spy" numbers stations if i was lucky. Had a quick scan this morning and stumbled on this nice clear station, sounds russian - most likely the end of the broadcast and wrapping up with a repeated code to indicate end of transmission.

Recorded from line-in from a 13-year-old boombox tuned to the bottom of the am dial and moved around near the computer and printer. You can hear the base computer noise, then at 00:17 you start to hear the radio get closer to the printer which is off but plugged in.

This is an extended version of my previous entry recording of the radio patch from the houston fbi field office i recorded from my police scanner. They do a radio check test every thursday night. They call various federal agencies around the houston area in the new p25 digital radio system, not analog. Some of the agencies respond, some do not. This is a recording of a lot of morse code conversations on the 40 meter band of amateur radio. Mainly between 7 - 7. 012 mhz using lsb, usb, cw wide, cw narrow, and am filters. I used a yeasu ft-757gx transceiveri mainly recorded this because i thought the am filter on the morse code sounded very unique and space like. Feel free to cut out whatever you like and modify. Also the buzz is from the computer's sound card impurity being amplified through the transceiver, this is not easy to fix. Recorded on 3:50 utc 2013-11-2.
