This is a simple sequence with chords - emaj, d#m and c#maj where i played on my midi keyboard "novation lanchkey mini" with using arturia vintage collection vst plugin - yamaha dx7, type - electronic organ and adding delay effect and reverberation. Sound like synth-wave or retro-wave stile, moderato, quietly and gently. Lounge. You can be using it for your needs, podcasts, samples, different projects, or just like alarm sound on your phone. Really simple patch. Cv from nlc sloth to quantizer (doepfer a-156), via attenuverter. Triggers from doepfer a-160(161). But a tone is only generated if there is a change in cv from sloth. Its not 100% generative :-) first there is no cv connected to the oscillators. I connect them one at a time. The noise is also controlled by the same sloth. The analog delay is connected to barton musical circuits (bmc) 4 quadrant multiplier and panner acting as a panner, controlled by nlc jerk off (still a sick name on a great module). The ehh drum sound is generated by bmc decaying analog noise.

Recorded on mid-summer (that looked like mid-autumn) day 2010 in vilnius with a simple olympus voice recorder. I placed an old piece of metal sheet on a broken glass fish tank near a garage wall to catch the drops, recorder was placed in the middle of the sheet. The rain was very light and fine, later it intensified and became lighter again - all this is heard in the recording. Unfortunately three recorder beeps are heard at the end signaling that it was running out of memory. I later decided to leave them in as it quite unexpectedly added some drama to the whole record. . .

Start with chaos. In this sound/patch you have the possibility to enjoy chaos and feedbacki use my sloth lfos and jerkoff - another chaos moduleim possible sick i like this - thou its simple. Sloth modulate vco and filter cut of frequencyfeedback from vco to the filter via a vca controlled by a looping envpan fx also controlled by sloth - same env that controls the frequency. The "prassel" rustle sound is great in my earsjerkoff, exp vca, function and another sloth. Evaluation of patch/soundone cycle is - there are many cycles to consideronly short sounds - no, goodamplitude variation - yep goodpitch variation - mediumtimbre variation - some, via filter/two soundsmusical value - i think so!entertaining - yes?!.

I was messing around to create a lead synth for a song for my band, but nothing came out for the song. At leased i ended up with something that could sound great for a purely electronic style. No it didn't. Well cool patch anyway? it's what i like. Small variations on a simple theme. Sloth lfos and a jerk off (both from nlc) are the engine. Yes and a comparator. Using an or/gate-combiner to create a trigger-ish for quadra to react on. Analog delay and spring reverb. Why did i do this patch from the very beginning? when the voltage on x from sloth reaches a specific value a trigger is generated and i sample the value on y and uses to select pitch on an oscillator. The one playing the long tones. Chaos creates my variations. Sh1t, now when i've stopped recording cool thing are happening. Promise. . .

A soundscape of several thunderstorms mixed together to create a uniquely immersive, full field recording. This editing process allows for rain and thunder strikes to be recorded at different volumes and creates a more diverse atmosphere with different types of rain, wind, and ambiance melded into one found sound. Although each storm was recorded in a slightly different location, everything is from the greater detroit, mi, usa area. -recorded entirely with a tascam dr-03 set at 48 k / 24 bit. Then each different storm was edited together in magix music maker. -this album version fades out with a simple, repeating synth line.

I have several unused items. As i have benefited several times from this website, it's time to give back. Why not. This was recorded in my home studio, using my condenser microphone, the isk u99 (neumann knock-off, so the seller and a friend said to me; i wouldn't know however. ) powered by apogee duet preamp and simple shock-mount, i hope this recording clean enough for many uses. I recorded in close proximity, hence the high frequency a bit harsh. No edit. No effect. Cheers.

Boring sound. . . Neuron patch (?). . . Inspired by nlc squid axon (i have saved some hp for that one!) i have patched up a simple 2 stage asr with 2 s/h. Most of the time it plays its atonal melody, but when the patch is stimulated (by a sloth lfo) feedback opens up. I can adjust the sensitivity in different ways (so i can simulate the intake of drugs. . . ). The sound from the oscs goes though vcfs with some resonance. The vcfs are controlled by the same sloth lfo. My neuron patch. . . No hands during recording. My favourite part is when nothing happens - for almost 1 min?! but you can hear the filter working via the vcfs. The cv must be in some strange area.

A beautiful, simple and peaceful soundscape of a late summer day in illinois near an ancient swamp. This recording was made around 8 in the morning on a warm and slightly humid day in late september using the marantz pmd661 and a rode ntg2 shotgun microphone. Do you sense the insects are more subdued than usual? as if they, too, are waiting for the cooler masses of early autumn?? the overall loudness of the birds is also down somewhat, maybe some of our neotropical migrants have already left. . . . Taking with them the wonderful midwest diet and warm memories of raising the next generations of their kind before the swamp turns gray, and cold and inhospitable for raising a family. . This sound was created as follows:. -zynaddsubfx free (and insanely amazing) software synthesizer generated simple g tone using a sine-wave adsynth engine- creative sbs 250 speakers played it back distorting the sound naturally and adding some interesting stereo phasing effects (is that caused by analog signal cable being longer for one speaker?)- i was manually changing the volume using the speaker's potentiometer (whitch is dirty and added some interesting noises on the right speaker, and also at peak loudness during the 54th second the right speaker is quiet)- the output was captured by zoom h2's rear mics- and recorded via usb into audacity free audio editing program- i exported the recording as 16-bit flac.

This reel is arranged like this:splice 1 : left = white noise / right = pink noisesplice 2: left = metallic noise / right = digital noisesplice 3 : left = tuned noise 1 / right = tuned noise 2splice 4 : left = tuned noise 2 / right = tuned noise 3splice 5 : left = tuned noise 4 / right = tuned noise 5splice 6 : left = tuned noise 6 / right = tuned noise 7splice 7 : left = downsampling noise sweep / right = fluctuating random noise sweep. Most sound comes from the verbos electronics random sampling module. The tuned noises are made of white noise fming the verbos harmonic oscillator, each are one of the eights harmonics being recorded. Enjoy !.

A rather lengthy sound byte that i heavily edited to the point of being unrecognizable. It sustains a flat note with varying bass levels causing an unnerving effect or the listener or player. I had designed this track for a roleplay plot involving a cursed train station, the plot came out kinda rough and it fell through midway. . . But, the audio track i made came out good enough to post here like my first sound involving my transformers oc!. Not gonna explain about this one much. Basicly i just made a simple patch on my virus c hardware synth which consists of 2 osc's (sine / saw), osc2 slightly detuned from the osc1. Fast pitch envelope on both osc's to get the "punch" part in the kick. Ran through virus's lowpass/bandpass filters, lowpass cutting from 100% to 0% with a speed of 1/4 beats to get a "filtering down" effect to the kick, bandpass rejecting slightly frequencies from a range of 400-600hz. Then i sampled it, many times and picked the best sample. Eq->distort->eq->distort million times and this is the result. Ofc i did some cutting and added some lowpass/bandpass filters with various mix levels @ some points and did some other shit also but basicly it's just eq & distort. Hf, its a decent kick but needs some fixing still since the punch is too separate from the bass.

Made in ableton live this time, it is a multilayered loop consisting of recordings of an ak47, a 30 caliber 1918, and an m60 machine gun to make a rediculous powerful sound. A very short clicky kick drum with the high end reduced is added before the initial gunshot to make it punch more, otherwise it would sound weaker. There are two mechanical bolt sounds, one covering the upper mid range, and the other covering the extreme highs. Shell ejections and two reverb tails were mixed in at the end with some simple automated panning to make it move around the stereo field. The tempo slowly decreases to simulate barrel heating. Lots of processing. The layers were eq'ed, then ran into a software amp that is gently distorting the low and mid range. Then smashed together with ott multiband upward/downward compression to bring out the details. A maximizer was used to bring up the loudness some. Enjoy.

This is a simple recording of the passing crowd in the heart of the latin quarter of paris, france, on a wednesday evening between christmas and new year's eve. The recording was made at the corner of the pedestrian xavier privas and huchette streets, with the mics aimed diagonally across the street, about 4. 5 feet above ground. By a happy coincidence (i'd like to say that i engineered it, but i didn't), this sound file loops seamlessly. The clip includes the sounds of many people passing by (the area was very crowded), and some snippets of conversation, mostly in french, with a few other languages thrown in. Some faint traffic noise can be heard on the left, from the busy quai saint michel street along the south bank of the seine river, at the north end of the xavier privas street (left of the mics in this recording). Recorded with a hand-held zoom h4n, stereo, 96 khz / 24 bits, built-in mics.
