Strange voice.

This is a 50-second dark and spooky space-horror-esque ambiance i made with: a fan, a very creaky window, and some old trash-can lid scrapes and bangs i recorded a few years ago.

A recording with an sm 7b while playing on the guitar head with added distortion. The recording environment was not ideal so the "white noise" is amplified room noise.

Short wicked laughter.

A spooky "wailing" sound, that puts your senses on-edge. Simply made with my electric guitar and me messing around with effects in audacity. Paul stretch is a superb effect for creating a stretched out "wailing" sound.

To me the final effect sounded like a haunted space ship. I began with a 10 second sample of ordinary speech then lowered the pitch, stretched the wave pattern, added echo and reverb. Then i copied portions of the wave pattern to a new track and mixed the two into a mono track. Did this several times while also using noise reduction and normalization.

Repeated cry for help with echo and delay. The voice maybe hasn't been modified enough to sound really spooky, and the one falsetto 'help me' may prevent it from being scary. But that might be useful, if you don't want something very intense (e. G. To keep the tone lighter).

A sound made with mixed techniques.

I made this sound with fl studio by stretching a sample i had.

Plucked tension, guitar sounding like piano.

Just played around with a granulizer and this sound came out of it. Actually i made a track before where i was looking for this exact sound. But until now, i couldn't find it. So if anyone is looking for the same sound too, here it is.

Builds quickly, sustains and gradually fades. C minor arpeggio stretched from 11 seconds to 1 minute using the paulstretch effect on audacity. Low-fi recording with tablet and hi-q app.

This sound would be suited for background atmosphere in a nightmare movie sequence, or to blast out of your windows to the neighborhood on halloween. It was created in audacity by using a piece the audio track from the end of the movie "my cousin vinny". It is the line marisa tomei says as she and vinny are driving back to n. Y. (oh my god, what a f'ing nightmare). It was then noise-reduced, pitch and tempo adjusted, reversed, and paulstretched.
