Native wooden maraca hit. Homemade recording. Part of an original native colombian percussion sampler. Recorded with a shure sm57 > yamaha mg127cx > mbox > ableton live.

A seven note scale (c c# d# f f# g# a#) over separate octaves. Some notes repeat in the same octave, but are slightly different samples. Each note starts on the grid of 100bpm. Recorded the samples a few years ago. From memory the original sounds are sections of acoustic guitar notes, manipulated, pitched and fx added.

Created by cranking a filter to max resonance, adding distortion, then slowly sweeping the frequency control on a bit crusher.

A drum loop using one of bandlab's drum loops from the old-school breakbeat pack chopped up and put through an amp, with some fast-forward samples added.

I played the melody and solo of against all odds by gerald albright (ca. 100 bpm, key: db maj)and put effects on it. Sample of a metallic percussion hit. The sound is quite dark and muffled. I call it underwater drum, because it sounds to me like it's underwater. This sample is tuned to a1 but there is a very dominant overtone at b1, which is the musical interval of a minor second. The source of the sample was the platter of a dismantled hard disk drive, hit with a wooden mallet. It was then pitched down a lot. The sample is almost raw, i just added some slight eq. The sample was intended to be used with a sampler, you may want to add some reverb for this and filter the previously mentioned overtone, when you use it in combination with other tuned instruments. Also, the pitch is probably not perfectly tuned. Microphone: akq perception 120post-processing: pitch manipulation & eq.

Small sample of "mandolin tremolo", using syntheway banjodoline virtual banjo and mandolin vst vst3 au (mandolin tremolo effect) and a bit of dal flute vsti at its fade-out (vst plugins software). Brief 27 seconds demo of "the godfather waltz" (nino rota). Banjodoline is a virtual banjo and mandolin vst, vst3 and audio unit plugin software, including a mandocello, mandola, octave mandolin, banjolin and electric mandolin fretted stringed instruments emulation.

Re-sampled pad at 172 bpm, the key is unknown as i believe it is a chord, it's a mix of g and f.
